I couldn’t believe some of the ratings of this place. Maybe it’s because we are from Michigan, but this is by far THE BEST fast food taco joint we have ever been too. We got so much for our money, and each taco and burrito we had was STACKED. The large sodas were HUGE- seriously, I’ve never seen a drink so large. Iowa, you have it better than you think you do if you think this isn’t a dope fast food taco joint. Please open one in Michigan!

Had to wait for someone to take my order for several minutes, finally placed my order and received it, then had to ask for our drinks, that person couldn’t get them to to go find someone else to get our oj. Another 2 minutes then she had to go 2 different places to get 2 oranges juries. Our breakfast burritos were good but not hot time I got to my car

food is usually good. the location is going downhill, i sat at the speaker for about 5-7 minutes, nobody said a thing, i drove around to the window and all the employees were standing around talking, not doing a thing. and instead of offering help, or taking my order, they just stared and said nothing.

I love this place!! Our Taco John’s in Clinton closed and is now a coffee place. Many folks were REALLY upset, including ME! I take the back roads to Maquoketa, stock up on my faves at TJ’s, put everything in an insulated bag, and enjoy hot food when I get home. Nancy and her crew are fantastic and friendly! The food is fresh, hot and deeeelicious!! LOVE the deluxe Potato Oles and Taco Bravos ❤️!!! I’m sad to see that the place is up for sale; if I could afford to buy it, I certainly WOULD!

I want to like this place because there are limited fast food options in the area. With that being said, why is the food coming out cold?? Do they not check the temperature of the product on the line?? It doesn’t matter what you buy, it all comes to you cold!!

Taco John’s has great fast-food, like Taco Bell but with meat that tastes real. This location appears to have been recently renovated and has very nice, clean bathrooms. Staff is friendly and the place doesn’t look like it gets too crowded.

It’s good but for some reason when you go through the drive-thru there at night, It takes them a very long time to even acknowledge that you are there waiting to order. That has happened to me on may occasions. Twice I thought that maybe they had closed early and started to leave.

My family said the tater tots were great, but I thought they were a but too salty. Everyone was disappointed by the street tacos. Both the chicken and the steak. There was a lot of sauce, cheese and tomatoes, but very little meat. Like maybe 4-5 pieces per taco, and we had 9 tacos.

The food was delicious. I was impressed by them willing to Frankenstein 2 different items on their menu to make one for me. Although, their cilantro sauce on their shrimp tacos was a little potent.
