We stopped by for the soft opening and had such a great experience. The service was really good, Taylor and Amber did an amazing job! — everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome without hovering.

The food was just as good. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and came out looking great. I had the tater kegs and their cheesy chicken! Everything was sooo yummy. I was very impressed at the service given that they were very busy and how fast the food came back!

Overall, it was a great “first” impression, and we’ll definitely be back! Can’t wait to try more things on the new menu!

Found this restaurant while geocaching in the area, and glad I did. Very cool old house with lots of character and history. Utilizing different rooms in the house for dining, a small bar… and in the back is an interesting old cabin that is worth a walk through. The employees were all very nice, and helpful with my ridiculous food allergies. Good meal in a really nice place.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience with fantastic service. Our server had a wonderful personality. I ordered the fried chicken with honey, succotash, collard greens, cheese grits, and fried okra. We started with crab bites and pork rinds. My workmate had the meatloaf with cornbread and collard greens.

The crab cake bites were large and tasty, with four big pieces perfect for sharing. The pork rinds arrived sizzling and could easily serve four people. My only suggestion for the pork rinds would be to offer a choice of dry seasoning.

The fried chicken included two well-battered and nicely cooked chicken breasts. The honey added a subtle sweetness that paired well with hot sauce. The collard greens were excellent, and the fried okra, which seemed to be battered in-house, was delicious. Unfortunately, the cheese grits were dry and sticky, and the succotash was bland.

My workmate also enjoyed the collard greens and found the cornbread good but thought the meatloaf was just average. He mentioned he would try something else on a future visit.

Overall, it’s a nice restaurant in a rural area, and I would return if I were in the area again.

Quaint place for a delicious meal. The intimate atmosphere and friendly service make this eatery feel like visiting a family members home for a dinner. The history adds to the nostalgia of the visit. Food was well prepared and presented. Portion were generous. Expect to pay $15-$20 per person. If you don’t mind a short detour from the interstate, this is an alternative to the box chain restaurant that you find along the highway.

Gave this place a try. Small house turned restaurant with lots of history. Great space very bright. Food was well priced but main was unseasoned. I did get the plate instead of the more common favorite the chicken. However the biscuits and the orange bread pudding really saved the meal. Worth a visit. I’ll be back to try the chicken.

This morning we wanted to try something new locally for lunch. I am now sitting at one of the nicest ones I’ve had in a long time. Meghan greeted us with a warm smile and some great recommendations. The chef Brandon (who is a newer addition) did a Killer job with some Catfish and Meatloaf. The fry was impeccable and the portions were great. I will be back on Sunday with the while family. Great local find! I was too hungry to take a nicer composed photo… but I will Sunday!

We had a fantastic dinner at the grand opening of Martha’s Kitchen last night. They knocked it out of the park on the first night! Drinks were perfect, service was awesome, and the food was excellent! Comfort food done exactly right.

The owners Carson and Greg were out front to greet us and welcome us in. Definitely a warm, friendly family environment, but also ideal for a quiet date night.

Kudos to the Grub LLC team!

Visited this restaurant for the first time this week for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the hot honey chicken breasts which came with three sides. I picked Mac and cheese, collard greens, and mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Our server was also very attentive and friendly. I look forward to returning and trying the other dishes offered.
