1902 by George Walters, who was a union soldier that received a land grant after the Civil War was over. The store also served as the Pilot Hill Post office and the upstairs was used as a court room once a month when the traveling magistrate would come by. It has been a general store for the past 112 years. The store closed 2 different times for the span of 4 years. Its new owner Terry and our family locked arms together and decided to breath life back into it and open it as a store and cafe to you! This store means a lot to both Terry and our family. We hope that you enjoy and find peace when dining here!

Hadn’t been to this place in a long time since ownership changed but decided to try out their breakfast. Breakfast was great!! Got the French toast along with scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted fantastic! Waitress was very friendly. Highly recommended.

I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. It was so good! The burger was 2 smash patties. The fries were super soft inside. The lady inside was so sweet to me. plus its just 5 minutes from my house, which is super rare. I’ll definitely be going back!

The homemade biscuits and gravy and sourdough pancakes are the best breakfast items I have ever had. The portions are healthy and the prices are affordable. I will be eating here as often as possible! The store offers many unique, locally made items to purchase as well, including antiques. There is something for everyone here and a visit into yesteryear! Do yourself a flavor and get over there quick! You will not be disappointed.

We are on our honeymoon and ordered take out at this lovely establishment. The only reason why 5 stars weren’t given is because their fryers were not operating so we were not able to get a few items However, the staff called ahead of time to tell us this and we were able to swap out the fried items.
My husband ordered a burger and he said it was delicious! I ordered a Reuben with mac salad and it was obvious both were homemade. The prices were unbeatable and the nostalgic atmosphere topped it all off.
I highly recommend this local joint as a must see on your adventures! We will be back

This is a rustic, quaint little café, with some crafts for sale, that is not on the beaten path. I’ve gone there with friends on motorcycles on four occasions, and always found the service to be great, and the comfort food very good. It’s worth a trip down the beautiful country roads to sample this little jewel.

The atmosphere was so relaxing. The girls there were so nice. I can’t wait to go there again. They have a little country store inside it’s such a great place. It is out of the way not overly busy and gives that homey feeling. Love this place.

My son literally said upon thr first bite – “MAN! This is a good pancake!” First time ordering from here and I am very happy to say that we’ve found a hidden gem close to our house. We plan on going back many more times in the future and can’t wait to show our families this cute spot when they visit from out of state. Also, the lady who took our order was super friendly and helpful.
