Worst meal I’ve ever had at Empire grill! My steak was paper thin so no way I could even get it medium rare. Absolutely no taste even after adding salt and pepper. I was so disappointed! My daughter had the special and it was so over cooked the chicken actually snapped in half! And to top it off waiter dropped off our food and didn’t come back once till he brought the check. When we complained we were told there was nothing he could do about it. I fell like the past few times have been sub par food. Please do better!

A carafe of coffee was placed on our table. It was filthy. The outside and spout were stained. Appeared as though it had never been cleaned. Everything else was good. But after 8 years as patrons. We will not be returning.

It was about 40 minutes until closing and the place was pretty empty that late on a Monday night, but it allowed us to have a hilarious time with our server (Alex). Really good experience!

I also enjoyed the food which was reasonably priced. A refillable soda was $2.99 and my 8oz New York steak and breaded shrimp deal was only $15, for example. They also had a bunch of other menu items for $15 and a weekly special for only $10.99 (which was a prime rib quesadillas). Didn’t try that item, but two others at our table did order prime rib and enjoyed their meals as well.

The Diner is located inside Baldini’s Sports Casino & Restaurant.

It is located in Baldini’s Casino. The food was excellent and came out fast, hot, and fresh! I had the biscuits and gravy, and my husband had the steak breakfast. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. We were full all day!
We will definitely come back.

I was excited to try the Roast Beef as I’ve seen the advertising photo for years but I was sorely disappointed. The meat was very tough, chewy, and we’ll, not at all as I had hoped. Fries were very good. My wife got the chicken fried chicken and thought it was okay. Unfortunately we won’t be back. I have to say that the gal who kept our drinks filled was a gem, she was so very friendly and the light in the room.

In short: Excellent.

The top-notch service provided by Thanh leads the way here in this gently upscale restaurant. The menu is extensive and the prices are quite reasonable, particularly with the copious amount of food that is delivered.

Speaking of the food, the generous portions are outdone by the food itself. It’s quite good. I want to mention here that the coffee ☕ is the best I’ve had in Reno so far, plus… they leave an entire carafe on the table for you. Nice touch.

For the record, I had the “Ranch Hand” breakfast, consisting of two biscuits and gravy, three eggs scrambled, two large pieces of bacon, and one surprisingly large sausage link. (It took about ten seconds for me to find this on the menu and choose it.) I subbed out fries for the hash browns or breakfast potatoes. Plus, that amazing coffee.

This place is a great find, located within Baldini’s Casino, so basically hidden from the outside world. I went on a Saturday with what appeared to be at least half of Reno. The parking lot is huge but I still had to park near the very back. However, and this is a big however, the Empire Diner was not crowded at all on a Saturday at 1:00 pm. It was half empty in fact. So that was a mighty pleasant surprise as I was seated right away.

In short, the food is excellent, the portions are generous, the prices are a great value, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is quite classy without being pretentious.

Food is not good you can definitely tell they serve low grade food it’s cheap meat, vegetables, fish salad ,the dressing taste like mayonnaise watered down, we had to send our fish back 3 times because it wasn’t done, they use tarter sauce they make for the coleslaw it’s gross who wants they’re whole fish dinner tasting like tarter sauce !!! But I guess if you like cheap budget food then this is right up your alley!!

It’s in a casino, but the eating area is separate and quiet. They have a 55+ menu and run good specials. They serve 24/7 breakfast lunch dinner. It had the best prices we could find in the area. We’re here for a week and have had 5 of our 7 meals there so far.

$40 for biscuits and gravy and bacon that was pure fat, and an egg sandwich and two tiny OJ and 1 coffee.. took over 5 min to be seated cause no one was paying attention… plenty of spots..just service that didn’t care. Then it took over 10 minutes for the waitress to come to the table..guess having that conversation in the back with another employee was more important. This has always been a local spot.. well it’s checked off my local spots!
