Food is excellent, a simple menu with interesting fusion options. The K-Town dog was a hit with our meat eating friends. Lychee tea was a stand out treat, an excellent sweet drink to pair with the savory food.
Our take out order was well packaged and we were back at the conference feeding hungry folxs. Strongly recommended for a good meal at an excellent price point.
Unfortunately that’s really the only redeeming factor. The price is high for the portion size. Just as an example, bottles of water are $3. And the fried spring rolls – which are smaller than a $1.50 egg roll you’d get at a Chinese takeout place – are also $3 a piece. You’ll get much much better value at the nearby Maiwand or Qdoba.
They don’t have working bathrooms. That fact is made all the worse when they give you a straw coated in something sticky, and there’s no place to wash your hands.
The whole store is generally in junky shape.
I asked to pay some portion of the bill with cash and the rest with a card. The guy said we’d have to handle the card portion first, then after charging the card he reveals that he put the full bill on the card and didn’t know how to include the cash.
And after the generally poor service, they have the gall to offer you the option to tip 30% at a spot where you order from a counter and seat yourself.
Overall, I recommend avoiding the spot.
Wendy, Adeline, and Nate are the best and always make the experience even better. Lots of seating for large groups, a great place to dine with family and friends. Red Boat truly makes you feel like you’ve discovered a special spot.
This was an amazing little stop! The food was good. The service was great. I cannot wait to take my date here! This is a good place to study for school as well along with having some yummy food!
I came here today because it was so cold outside. I wanted some soup.
Little did I know that I only do. They have great soup. They have good people working there and they have other good items too. I couldn’t help myself.
I may have overindulged this time so I promised myself next time it will just be two things lol
My friends and I had a great time!!
The Pho here is undoubtedly a standout—rich, aromatic broth with tender slices of beef or chicken, and perfectly cooked noodles. The garnishes of fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime really bring everything together. Whether you’re a pho connoisseur or a newcomer to the dish, it’s sure to impress. The Banh-mi sandwiches are absolutely best of all the cuisine. The lemongrass chicken is delicious along with banh-mi with garnished coriander and daikon.
The service is also top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and eager to help guide you through the menu if you’re unsure what to order. The portions are generous, and prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and authenticity.
Overall, this Vietnamese restaurant has everything you need for an amazing meal: delicious food, great ambiance, and stellar service. Highly recommend!
she was talking very fast, cutting me off during my order and she just honestly didn’t understand herself. There was obviously a language barrier with her, but instead, if you know that you have a problem, understanding customers that you should take your time when they are taking our order and be more patient with them instead of cutting them all and you would’ve got the order right…. it’s about doing good business and having good customer service and taking accountability when you are wrong.
I spent nearly $70 in one visit with my daughter, expecting to enjoy a nice dinner together. Instead, I was questioned about how long I’ve been coming to this establishment and told that the order I placed was incorrect—as if I didn’t know what I ordered. I specifically asked for the spicy beef soup, I even came back to the window to specify but I was told it would be put on the side, which is not what I requested.
This experience isn’t just about a misunderstanding with the food—it’s about how customers are treated especially as a woman of color. I am not happy with how I was treated, Rather than listening, you argued with me about my own order, questioned me about if I ever dined here After four years of dining here, that level of disrespect is enough for me to never return.
