Garam Masala serves decent Indian food in Rotterdam and is a good option to try if you’re craving familiar flavors. While the city doesn’t have many authentic Indian restaurants, this place stands out as a reliable choice.

The menu offers a fair variety, and the taste is satisfying enough to remind you of home-style cooking. Service is pleasant, and the ambiance makes it a comfortable spot to dine in.

Overall, worth visiting at least once if you’re in Rotterdam and looking for Indian food.

We reserved the day before and were seated quickly. We waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks (a coke and a beer) and almost two hours for our food.
The food was okay. The naan was a little dry and burned on the other side. There is only one dal option on the menu and it was average.

Visited this Indian Restaurant in Rotterdam in quest of getting vegetarian food.

Since was alone and not that hungry tried one dish (dal tarka), chapatti and garlic naan. Separately also asked for lemon.

Overall found food fine and had a good meal.

Shailesh was waiter who served me and 2 other tables. Service was okay, not fast. Portion of daal was just sufficient for me to eat these 2 breads.

There are enough tables for guests to be seated.

Been ordering here for years now and it’s always a delicious way to fill out my meal planning. One portion of curry is easily enough for 2-3 meals with a little extra to pad out another snack for me. The butter chicken is my go-to, but I’ve tried a bunch of them, especially when ordering for my entire family, and there have been zero complaints. Definitely planning to dine-in sometime to see the vibe!

Absolutely one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in Rotterdam. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and perfect for enjoying authentic Indian food.

The food itself was incredible, every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The butter chicken was creamy and rich without being heavy, the lamb vindaloo had the perfect level of spice, and the garlic naan was soft, fluffy, and addictive. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and take pride in their cooking.

Service was friendly and attentive throughout, and even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. It really felt like dining at a place that cares about its guests.

If you are in Rotterdam and craving Indian cuisine, Garam Masala is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again and recommending it to all my friends.

I will not recommend this restaurant, there is no taste and spice of Indian Curry. Only the curries looks indian but there is no taste of Indian spices. If you wanna taste Indian cuisine you can visit some other restaurant.
I Specially don’t like the butter Naan, butter naan is not a bread but here they will serve you breads on the name of Naan.

I am giving 2 stars not 1 star because food is not good but staff is well behaving and feel will be indian from interior.

I used to eat Indian food 6 months in a year for 14 years (mainly in Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Trichy) and it’s practically impossible to get anything close to the real thing in the Netherlands, until I tried these dishes from Garam Masala. The lamb vindaloo, sabzi (mixed vegetables, it’s labelled bhaji for some reason), garlic naan, raita and papad were excellent! I really can’t wait for the lockdown to end so I can enjoy this exquisite food in the restaurant itself. 5 star and highly recommended!!!
