I love coming here! The Sunset Bakery and Cafe staff is incredibly attentive and always greets me like family. It’s rare to find such a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you truly feel at home.
On top of the great vibes, the place is consistently spotless. You can tell the team takes a lot of pride in keeping everything clean and organized. Highly recommend!

Overall a good local bakery spot. Love that they have CBS sports constantly on the TV. People are friendly.

If you prefer Spanglish or really just aren’t that good of a Spanish speaker, however, then good luck ordering. I speak Spanish but not too well. I’ve ordered a few times and they’ve gotten the order incorrect and it becomes this whole thing. Super annoying way to start the day. They also have the TV on silent, which is totally normal. I’ve asked for subtitles multiple times because ideally I can sit at the counter top and order coffee, pastries, etc. while watching the daily sports news. Every time I ask it’s an immediate “no” to putting subtitles on the screen. Unsure why they wouldn’t want to accommodate something like this but I don’t appreciate how quick they are to turn it down.

Overall this is a good bakery with good people. The storefront has been there for a very long time.

Plain, simple Cuban bakery. Good food. Good selection of pastries. Large seating area for a quick meal. Daily cooked food menu. Very inexpensive.

This is my family’s go-to neighborhood bakery – tasty food and the best service (the cafesito lady even goes above and beyond the usual request for how much milk/how sweet you’d like your coffee and asks for your temperature preference + tests it to be sure.) This place is full service with fantastic employees/ownership.

Today, I ordered a large catering order of 500 mini pastelitos, 500 mini croquetas, and 8 carafes of cafe con leche. Flavor, quality, and service was incredible as always.

At 7:30am on a weekday, there’s a line…. that is the true sign of a great bakery. The pastries are fresh and delicious. Great customer service too. This is one of my favorites. My employees always love when I surprise them with treats from here.

I went here today with my girl and we bought one eclear (spanish) and one panetela borracha. The eclear was almost empty on the inside instead of the yellow cream that should fill it. Same with panetela, almost dried out. Not the best experience. Hope that gets better

Update 12/24/22:
Being fair to the bakery despite that last experience with eclear and panetela the service there is great. From 2 stars I update it to 5. Just the service makes you feel like home.

The chicharrón was $15.99 per pound, ridiculously overpriced for what I got. The skin wasn’t crispy at all, and it was mostly fat with barely any meat. Definitely not worth the money.
