This is the only place to go to get ice cream, of your looking for great portions and reasonable prices! I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and couldn’t imagine summer without it. I would come up while in the military and make sure I made a stop here to get my fix for the year. I don’t like spending my money at other shops who charge you $6 for a large ice cream and it is only a medium or small here at Fairshake! Make sure you come out and support a local business that has been around forever and always treats everyone’s family!!!

Omg you have to take your kids here on a nice sunny day. It is so awesome. Lots to do for kids with video games inside, a train for kiddies, carousel etc.. Picnic tables and inside booths. But if large bellied person the picnic table’s are best. Have fun! Conolie IceCream is yummy. If you don’t like that flavor they have others. They also of course serve shakes. This place is very cute off the beaten path and well worth it.

Yesteryear ice cream parlor still going strong and quintessentially tethered to Elmira for generations, the ice cream assortment, flavors and quality are outstanding. Their variations on your favorite sundaes are a massive creative plus. The sizes are exceptionally generous and the servers are amiable as they dish it up.
My own cousins worked here way back in the 1980’s when I was just a small kid, and The Fair Shake goes out of their way even now to be family friendly with rides and things for the kids to explore.

The service is good. Always a greeting and smile but the quantity of icecream has gone way down and the prices , way up. I purchased a medium cone and got a small . With no icrcream in the cone. They used to be good size but maybe new owners last year.

The service is good, the sizes of the ice creams are waaay good, and the prices aren’t bad for all you get. There’s also a cute amusement type place out back for younger children, but I don’t know what the cost is for that. The place is great for families.

After a very disappointing trip to another ice cream shop we stopped at Fair Shake. I felt bad as there was 11 minutes to closing and I wanted something special. The lady helping us went above and beyond. With a quick “I got you” she made the BEST Sunday I have ever had.
