This Authentic Mexican Restaurant offers a fantastic lunch experience with great food, warm service, and a lively, festive atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming. Even though the place was busy, we were seated immediately and had no trouble finding parking, which was a pleasant surprise.
The atmosphere really adds to the charm. There was upbeat music playing, and the servers brought warmth to the space with their friendly smiles and beautiful traditional yellow gowns, giving the restaurant an authentic and celebratory feel. Service was handled at a comfortable, reasonable pace—attentive without feeling rushed.
The food was excellent and served in generous portions. The chicken tacos were terrific and easily a standout, packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. We also tried the chicken asado, which was equally satisfying and well prepared. Portion sizes were more than generous, and prices were very reasonable, making this a great value for lunch.
One unexpected highlight was the cappuccino—it tasted homemade, comforting, and just right. For dessert, our kid absolutely loved the ice-cream brownie, which was a perfect way to wrap up the meal.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable dining experience. Great food, generous portions, fair pricing, warm service, and a festive vibe make Del Rio Authentic Mexican Restaurant a place I’d happily recommend and return to, especially for a relaxed and satisfying lunch.

Chose it because of its rating but I just don’t see it. They don’t offer salsa/chips for the table. Queso was the standard mid-tasting queso one finds everywhere. Chips had an unnecessary seasoning on them vs plain salt. Pineapple juice was pure sugar water. It’s not real fruit juice or it’s just poor quality. I sent it back opting for water instead. I was surprised the veggie fajitas have zero mushrooms in them which is pretty standard in veggie fajitas across the country. Their menu does not indicate what veggies are included but I assumed, my fault. Still, the flavors were good. The accompaniments rice/beans etc were enjoyable. Sauces provided taste great. Service was good. As vegetarian options make it or break it for me, I won’t be returning.

The owner Luis and the staff were professional and friendly , our waitress Abby was a sweetheart , she was on top , kind and professional , the food is cooked with love and from scratch, taste like cooked at home, so good !

What a wonderful place to visit. The moment you enter the restaurant the staff greet you with a big smile and a pleasant greeting. They have recently renovated the place with colorful Mexican decor, and all the staff wear traditional Mexican attire. The restaurant is owned and operated by family members and they really make you feel welcomed. The place is very clean, and the food is delicious and portions are ample. We frequent this place from time to time. You should try this place at least once. I gauretee if you do, you’ll return again. Note: the restaurant is located in the parking lot of a gas station, which can dissuade some folks. I’m telling you to take the risk and try Del Rio Mexican. Its a gem. P.s. my wife and I have have eaten in nice restaurants all over the world, and we really enjoy Del Rio.
