What they have done to this place is fantastic. It’s a restaurant, groceries, wine room type of business where the staff is friendly and staying busy. Where it fell short was the food. A charcuterie board where cheeses and meats should be served cold weren’t. The meatballs that we ordered lacked flavor and were served cold so I don’t know what happened here and why the food fell short. I wasn’t impressed at all especially for the price of the food.

Came in tonight to enjoy some me time and I was beyond impressed with this place. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a yummy glad of wine. The bartender izzy was extremely knowledgeable with all the questions I had about the menu and very friendly. Everyone was very polite to. The food was absolutely amazing! So fresh and flavorful. I will be taking myself back here at least once a month. I must try everything. Thanks again!

Service was terrible. It took like 15 min for the waitress to great us. After we received our food she come back and check with us until the end of the meat. I really want to order a different drink but could not even order one. By the time she come back I was done with my meal. The pizza was undercooked. The presentation of the appetizer was not the best. However the meatballs were delicious . I don’t think will be back. To many options to get bad service. I don’t know the name of the server, it was a female Hispanic.

We really enjoyed our visit to A Modo Mio! I had the fettuccine with brie sauce, which was excellent. You really get a lot of brie flavor with it. My wife had spaghetti with Meatballs, and I have to say the meatballs were some of the best I’ve had. We sat in the bar area because it was more lively. They have happy hour every day on beer and house wine and liquor. Our server Izzy was outstanding, in spite of having to wrestle with an uncooperative beer keg behind the bar. After dinner we walked over to the deli/Cafe side and had a nice Gelato. The pistachio and dark chocolate was especially good. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was very nice. Great atmosphere. I liked that there was a separate area for gelato and other desserts.

I tried two pizzas. The Butcher and the Calabrese. Both were absolutely delicious. The crust had a nice chewiness to it and great flavor. You could taste the quality in the toppings as well. I prefer a little more crunch and rigidity in my pizza. This had a full flop unless I folded my slices in half. I did ask for future reference if I could request to have the pizza cooked a bit longer for a better crisp and our server confirmed that could be done.
Someone in our group did order the Arancini. They said it was okay. I didn’t try it. Visually, the risotto on the interior looked a little drier than I would have liked, so I saved stomach space for pizza.
For this specific part of Mesa, this is one of the better restaurants I have tried. When in the area, I would stop in again.

Food was Wonderful we had Steven that waited on us. What a super nice Restaurant clean, Atmosphere was wonderful live plants on ledges. Some seating areas had plugs so u can plug your phones in. Chairs are little low to set in. No salt and pepper on tables that was different. Bakery inside soooo excited this Area really needs a nice Italian Restaurant here.
Was very pleased to talk to Bobby she also works at Modo Mio. And don’t forget a awesome happy hour at 3pm.

The food is insane! I got an amazing Italian style pizza last time I was in and this time I stopped in to their coffee shop. The lobster tail is a must try as well as the pistachio cantucci as pastries go. Their coffee is great iced or hot!

Lovely restaurant. A little loud. My spinach ravioli was delicious. My husband loved his lasagna. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday night to avoid a wait. We were seated right away. Our server was good, but I think she had too many tables. Our food didn’t take very long…it actually arrived BEFORE our drinks! There were many people involved..the hostess, and gal that dropped off our water but didn’t stay long enough for me to request lemon, our waitress, and the gentleman who brought our food, and tracked down our drinks and brought them to us! My husband is a hardy eater. I would like to see some bread served with the meal. Bread and salad are all extra. Overall, a delicious meal, but service needs to be fine tuned. Drinks definitely need to come BEFORE the food, and our wait staff needs to have time to check on our meal and needs after the meal.
Would I go back for an $18 dinner with no extras? Maybe. But I would try an app and cocktail at the bar in the middle of the afternoon.

Love this place! It is a great Italian restaurant that elevates beyond just the basics. Wood fired pizza is amazing! And with a full Italian bakery to boot there are great desert options baked right in house. Super reasonably priced as well for the top notch quality. Been there multiple times already (see pics). Help support local small businesses outside of snowbird season!

Had happy hour twice in the bar then a third time lunch in the restaurant. Food was good. Server for lunch was great. Slow to get the check at the bar both times though. Nice vibe. FYI bar stools are unusually high. You have to climb up onto the seat. You lower yourself carefully to get off them. I don’t take my older friends to the bar. Not sure if I’ll go back to the bar. Restaurant yes. Pastries are superb.
