Love this place, will keep going every week!
We got 2 orders of the Honey Garlic Chicken and one order of the Roast Pork Fried Rice. The chicken was excellent and I really liked their honey. There is some type of sourness/uniqueness to the honey I can’t quite describe, you’ll have to try it. Onto the rice, most of the group were not impressed with the rice and said they wouldn’t order it again, I on the other hand enjoyed the fact the rice wasn’t heavily ladened with soy sauce, sicne I really enjoy adding the honey, which makes it a nice side pairing for your main dish.
I’d recommend this place to a friend looking for good Chinese food. This ain’t some fancy place, and they pick up the phone (unlike P.F Changs)
This place is exactly what you hope for when you’re craving some solid Chinese takeout. I got the General Tso’s Chicken dinner combo, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy, coated in that perfect sweet and spicy sauce, and had just the right kick. The fried rice came loaded with pork, onions, and veggies, making every bite flavorful and satisfying. The broccoli was fresh with a nice crunch, balancing out all the goodness.
Like any proper combo, it came with an egg roll and a fortune cookie—standard, but still a nice touch. I also got some hot and sour soup, which was surprisingly good—savory, tangy, and had just the right spice to warm you up.
No fancy frills here, just good food, big portions, and solid flavors. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-nonsense takeout spot that actually delivers on taste, this is it.
Will 100% be back!
Both of the dishes we devoured in a heartbeat were beyond our expectations and we were all anticipating this just by judging the Chinese crowd that was already there. I can certify that if you opt for the House Lo Mein (with a mix of meat, chicken, and shrimp) or the House Special Chow Mei Fun Shrimp , that differs from the other one as it is a thin noodle, you will swirl into them all the way ! Usually, when I eat this type of dish at a food court in a mall, I feel a chunk of greased food in my stomach, but this wasn’t the case at Beijing Cafe, because you can tell it is homemade and that everything is cooked at the moment.
The Won Ton cream cheese empanadas are a succulent bite of fried crispiness….
Kim its owner makes sure all are served as she remembers back during her time in China, so she can bring up to you that nostalgic feeling that you will only be able to experience at Beijing Cafe.
Four stars because probably they’re serving their target market well. But I can’t recommend this to anyone who likes real Chinese food.
The consistency of JELL-O pudding, with happy any flavor at all.
