Food was good. Service was sloooooow! We grabbed a table for 5 and they had us wait for a chair and then a random patio chair was brought over. Orders were placed and we brawl sat there for 3 hrs total between waiting, ordering the food, and then getting the food. Do not come here if you are hangry or on a time crunch. Service was inattentive after we received our plates, that was that. We didn’t get checked on or ask if we needed anything else. All the dishes were good though so no complaints on the food. Just know they are very busy and they had two ppl for the whole entire restaurant. Bring your patience

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Carmels Hidden Gem after a suggestion from the owner while eating at Yafa ( another 5⭐️!) are we glad we did, it was one of our favorite meals so far in Carmel. Best breakfast by far. Dia, the owner, waited on us with gracious hospitality. It was hard to choose from the menu as everything sounded wonderful. I don’t think you could go wrong. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The roasted white corn waffle and the Swedish pancakes were a hit. My husband said his eggs Benedict were the best he had ever had. We will definitely return, as this is a must while in Carmel.

A less busy breakfast/brunch option because it’s just off the beaten path in Carmel! Indoor seating and outdoor seating in essentially the courtyard of a motel next door. Inventive ingredients, and their black pepper bacon is worth it! But the corn & chile waffle could use more flavorful ingredients. Maybe go for the bacon & cheddar instead…

Gem means ‘a precious or semiprecious stone, especially when cut and polished or engraved. I can certainly attest to this when it comes to the light fluffy crepes and beautifully brewed coffee which is my favorite item for breakfast. The French, chic and jazzy atmosphere bustling locals and spotlessly clean dining area is a true gem in hospitality. Almost an atmosphere reminding me of the Austrian countryside with French vibes is how I would describe this little treasure. Intimate, calming and serene – Best breakfast in Carmel. Merci! Lunch and dinner a treat too in every way!

Charming! It is indeed a hidden gem – entrance is off Mission, north of 5th (Google Maps shows off 5th which could be confusing). We had a lovely breakfast of French toast and eggs Benedict. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon is not listed on the menu but Owner says they have it every day. Highly recommend, it was delicious!!

*Should note on menu only take cash so can make share you’re prepared.

Carrot and apple soup was so tasty that we could not resist ordering a second plate. Crab cake was delicious, and a generous portion of salmon was very very good. Potato dumplings and sweet red cabbage made a very nice addition too. This restaurant is definitely worth wandering off the beaten path.

Had a delicious meal at this quaint spot in downtown Carmel. All the food was excellent and the service was professional and responsive to all our needs. We will be back for a dinner sometime soon. Dia the owner stopped by and we had a nice chat. He takes pride in his restaurants delivering delicious food at a value. Good price point for Carmel

Great restaurant a few streets away from the centre of Carmel. We stopped for brunch before continuing along the PCH. The food was delicious. We had a fried chicken burger and the huevos rancheros.

They even give you a slice of crispy bacon with your Bloody Mary! I didn’t know this was an option but I fully support it.

Wow what a pleasant surprise. Small restaurant inside about 4 tables nicely spaced. A couple of tables outside. We were there for brunch and it was delicious. My had eggs Benedict and my friend an omelette. The eggs were cooked just right. The Bloody Mary was spicy and refreshing this restaurant is owned by a married couple who know the meaning of service. I will definitely return.

We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday during Monterrey Car Week. The service was impeccable and everyone of our dishes tasted amazing! I’d recommend the turkey Eggs Benedict if it’s on the menu when you come. Not sure why some other reviewers complained about the service being slow. They may just be expecting a pace of things a bit faster than would be typical for Carmel. Slow down and enjoy!
