Went to vindaloo restaurant at Nielson and Ellesmere on a friend’s recommendation, and I have to say, it’s an absolutely hidden gem. Family run restaurant that delivers authentic flavours. The sleeper hit was the tandoori Momo’s, have tried countless restaurants in GTA and beyond, this is the first time I have actually enjoyed it immensely, The smokiness and tandoori flavours with the right amount of spicy kick blended extremely well. We also ordered the chili chicken (dry), tandoori half chicken, veg fried rice and chicken Chow Mein. Each and every dish was memorable, the portions were generous, and service was attentive and excellent. I’m more of a Bombay chicken and chicken 65 kind of guy, but had to take the chili chicken cuz of the family and honestly this was the only time I actually enjoyed the chili chicken, went very well when paired with the fried rice and chow mein. The tandoori half chicken was also spiced really well, we made a wise choice and stuck to medium spice level, it hit the spot right.
Overall, it’s a delightful hidden spot, can’t wait to tryout their other recipes on the menu. And it didn’t break the bank, very reasonably priced. A completely underrated hidden gem, this place definitely deserves more recognition, easily one of the top 5 restaurants with Hakka that I’ve been to and I’ve been to easily over a hundred of them.

Had a great experience at Vindaloo Indian and Hakka Cuisine. A small dining area but great for small dinners with friends and family. They got a wide variety of menu items from traditional indian dishes like samosa chaat, paneer, naan and paratha, to hakka dishes like chicken 65 and chowmein. They also got delicious jhol momos and even kebabs here! Food was delicious at reasonable prices. Owner and family was nice and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.

Had my first visit to Vindaloo Indian & Hakka Cuisine, and I must say, the food was absolutely amazing! The flavors were authentic, the portions were generous for the price, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. A fantastic dining experience overall!

I tried the samosas here, and they were absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside and soft, flavorful on the inside. The balance of meat and vegetables was perfect — not too dry, not too oily. Paired with the chutney, the flavor was even better. They were freshly made and served promptly with polite service. If you’re a fan of tasty samosas, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant is not that big, but the food they offer and the service they provide are really great. The price is competitive and justified according to the quality/quantity of the dishes. Really loved the food and environment. The restaurant area as well as their restrooms were very clean and well maintained. The staff are very cooperative and courteous. I went to try this Indian Hakka Chinese restaurant that a friend of mine recommended. It was my first time trying Indian Hakka and omg they won me over with their service and quality of food. Their butter chicken was the best I have ever had in GTA. Rajan went above and beyond and recommended their best dishes. We tried Manchurian, fried rice and every thing was beyond ordinary. I will recommend this to anyone looking for Indian style food. The spice level was also perfect.

We order hakka chinese from this restaurant, our experience have been awesome. One of the very few restaurant that serve real indian style hakka chinese. Their manchurian, fried rice specially are the best. You can tell you spice level and they will customize it to your needs. Also the quantity is great. For catering I don’t know a better place than this. It flies under the radar and is not that popular. Do give it a try and you will not be disappointed.
