La Brasita is an absolute gem! From the moment the food arrived, I could tell this place takes pride in what they serve. I ordered the steak with rice and beans, and it was perfectly done — the steak was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the beans had that rich, homemade taste that’s hard to find.
Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and full of flavor, like a meal made with care rather than rushed. The portion was generous and very satisfying. This is the kind of place you leave already thinking about when you’re coming back.

I ordered catering for a business event with La Brasita and it was a great experience. The food was delicious, fresh and in large quantities (more than I was expecting lol). David was super helpful and attentive. Would definitely order with them again. This place is a must try!

Well, the food was meh. It was fine. It would have been better if it were hot. The birria was underseasoned, the guac with the fajitas was old.
La Brasita uses Doordash. That’s their choice, but I refuse to do business with Doordash. They are careless, rude, and irresponsible. La Brasita carefully hides the fact that their delivery is handled by Doordash. Had I known, I never would have ordered delivery. So it took a long time & was wrong.
Then I called La Brasita & told them that my order was wrong. They told me that they knew they were out of my order & just decided to substitute something else.
I won’t be back, which is a shame, because we order a lot of delivery.

Superb! ALWAYS. The food here is fresh, full of flavors, finger licking delicious, and leaves me eager to return each week. This is what a home cooked meal tastes like. The food has the right balance of spices and seasoning. Owner and Chef, Ms. Luci carefully developed each recipe with so much love. The team is friendly and provides great service with a smile. Thanks to David, Emiliano, and Jonathan for always giving their best. The atmosphere is cozy with about 10 to 12 tables and around 4 counter seats. Eat in or take out. Guacamole is made fresh, on demand. The Ceviche pops. Plaintains are sweet and cooked perfectly. All meals are wonderful. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and love it all. My new favorite, not on the menu, is Camarones Entomatados. The Grilled Shrimp is also magnific. Other Recommendations: Pupusas (so soft and silky), Carne Asada, Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado, Grilled Salmon with Capers, Masitas de Puerco, and all the Tacos. La Brasita is exactly what Derwood needed. Enjoy!

Every thing on the menu was amazing. The standout was by far the birria tacos, which were fantastic and came with a cup of consome. The carne asada fajitas were also delicious as were the platanos con crema. I will absolutely be returning as there was so many more items I wish to try but didn’t have room for!

What a great restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was prompt. They had outside seating which is nice. The flavors were authentic and entrancing. They do offer a crab pupusa which is an interesting take, very Maryland of them. You definitely want to eat here.

Delicious food combined with a wonderful customer experience. You can tell that the owner and staff truly care about their customers and their food. The owner David is fantastic and is a really enjoyable addition to the already top-notch dining experience. Highly recommended all around – we’ll be back!

The place is small for dining in but nice. The guacamole is good but is better with extra lime. I got the vegi bowl with white rice and black beans (no cheese or sour cream) The strawberry lemonade margarita is tasty but it has a lot of ice and may not be as strong as you may like.

Finally got a chance to pickup carryout from La Brasita. It’s been on my list for quite a few months! It’s a quick drive from my place, so not sure why it took so long for me to order! I was going to do delivery through one of the delivery services, but couldn’t figure out how to order tres leches online. So, opted to go pickup. But I’m glad I did cause I got to meet David. He runs the place with his mom and sister.
I ordered by phone and got the cochinita tacos, a variety of pupusas, yucca, side of guac and tres leches.
Love the flavor of the tacos. The pork was a little chewier, but it could have been from the drive home and taking everything out of the takeout containers and plating them. Still good, but think I’ll reheat them really quick next time.
Pupusas – I got the Maryland, revueltas, ayote and loroco. The Maryland is probably the most popular, but it was my least favorite. If you eat crab as much as I do, you’d know why. The loroco was really tasty though. I think that will be my go to next time I order pupusas. There’s so much more on the menu to try!
The guac was tasty! A huge serving for a side portion. I ended up saving more than half to eat another day. Still good the next day. For $2.50, it’s a great deal.
