Absolutely amazing! We’ve been to Japan twice and were craving some ramen and gyoza that would compare to what we had abroad. This exceeded all of our expectations. Literally tasted just like what we had in Japan and was exactly what we were looking for. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Everything we ate was fantastic. Be sure you try the gyoza and spicy miso ramen!

My husband, mother and I had an amazing time. We sat at the sushi belt area and has a fun time grabbing the plates from the moving line and watching the robot bus come up and down. We found it awesome that when you send the plate back it counts it on the tablet so you can see how many plates you had. It was $3.50 a plate. If we go again we will likely not get ramen and instead get just sushi.

Some of the best ramen in town. Great hamachi Kama. Good selection of exotic Japanese street food (cow tongue, chicken heart etc.). Really good sake selection.

We had a great time here a robotic sushi and ramen spot that feels like stepping into the future. Tablets take your order, and your food arrives via a sleek conveyor belt system or robot adding a playful, high-tech vibe much like you’d expect in an original sushi restaurant in Tokyo. It’s a fun experience that keeps you entertained throughout the meal. The sushi and ramen were both fresh and satisfying—definitely good, though not mind-blowing. Still, the overall concept and smooth operation more than made up for any culinary shortfalls. It’s an ideal spot for a casual night out or to impress friends with something different. The novelty factor earns it a five-star review, even if the food alone might land closer to four. Totally worth the visit.

Travelling for business and was craving asian fare. I ordered the spicy miso ramen, a skewer of meatball and green pepper each. The meat ball was cold inside. Clearly reheated and not grilled properly before serving. The green peppers were soggy. The ramen tasted alright, the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente and the half egg had a jammy yolk which was great. The biggest disappointment is the chasu (slices of pork belly) in the ramen. It was chewy, not melt in your mouth as it should be with japanese ramen. That is a definite no no. The staff were prompt but needs training. Don’t stack the bowl and plates in front of the customer when you get the bill. I feel the whole experience was very transactional and tired.

My husband and I came here after hiking all day as our reward dinner. Zundo offers a unique dining experience with its robot food delivery, which adds a fun, futuristic touch to the visit. While the ramen fell short for me—it lacked flavor even with the addition of garlic oil—the sushi, especially the volcano roll, was absolutely fantastic. The sushi alone is worth returning for, showcasing fresh ingredients and bold flavors. If they can enhance the ramen’s taste to match the quality of their sushi, this place would be a true standout. For now, it’s a great spot for sushi lovers! The service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant, but I also think the price point for what is offered is a bit higher than other places.

We were on that side of town and decided to try somewhere new. It was not a great experience. The waitress wasn’t friendly but she did keep our waters refilled. The big issue we had was food timing. We ordered Spicy Miso Ramen, a volcano roll, and pork belly Robata. There was only two other tables occupied when we arrived. We waited 30 minutes to receive the first item. I say first item because everything came out at completely different times. The pork belly was first. Then 15 minutes later the sushi came out. Lastly, 10 minutes after that we got the Spicy Miso Ramen. If they were busy I don’t know how they would be able to handle the cooking and distribution of the food. The food was good and the sushi was fresh. I did appreciate the open-air kitchen. I could see there was at least six people cooking which is another reason I don’t know why there was a timing issue. They did have a delivery robot which was interesting. Also, the entire time we were there, there were two tables that were not cleared and dirty even though the wait staff was not busy (they were standing around a lot). Also be sure to look at the online menu as there are items not listed on their hardcopy menu in the restaurant.

A friend and I came In Saturday for lunch around 1pm. There wasn’t a wait, we were seated promptly and greeted in a very friendly manner. The menu is small which imo is a great sign of house made food. We had the Gyoza- pork dumplings as a starter, wrappers made fresh in house and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Then we both got the spicy crunchy salmon roll for $8.50 great price and the roll was very fresh. And a good price for a roll. Then we got the volcano roll, it was fantastic. It’s labeled as spicy but it is not, I cannot handle any spice and ate this comfortably and got the bad daddy roll again fantastic and flavorful. My friend and I were big on blue sushi in town and yes that’s great but what makes this different is that they don’t tip their rolls with tons of Mayo and sauces, the rolls don’t need it, they stand on their own. Our waiter which I assume was an owner? He was the best he gave us info on the restaurant as well as shook both our hands and welcomed us for coming in. We didn’t try the ramen this time but no worries, we will be back in probably 2 week. Our only complaint is the seating, the chairs are very small and uncomfortable.

This place is a great spot for sushi and Japanese food. They can sometimes be swamped, so please give them time and patients; typically, there are only two servers for the whole restaurant. All the food that they serve you is so delicious!

I brought my mom here about a day ago, and before that, my friend and I had been here a couple of times–all my experiences were great, and the food is even better than most Japanese restaurants in Lexington.

I recommend this place for great Japanese food 🙂
