Easily our favorite spot to grab donuts and pastry treats. The staff is always kind and attentive to our needs. They are always willing to sprinkle a donut for our toddler when they’ve run out of pre-sprinkled donuts!

Also the price can’t be beat for the quality and taste. Our favorites: cinnamon sugar cake donuts, glazed old fashioned, and the cronuts!

I love that we have Maplewood Bakery near us. They are consistently great. I recently ordered chocolate covered donut holes and glazed cronuts for a work party – they went way about and beyond. The donuts were a huge hit with my colleagues. Our family favorites are chocolate covered donut holes, cronuts, glazed, apple fritters and their breads are great too. Thanks to the Maplewood Bakery team!

This is one of the “real” bakeries left, no fake chocolate frosting here!!! I’ve been going to this bakery for over 20 years I bet… it’s just up the street to the left … ( okay, if you’re driving east on Highway 36, take a right on Frost Ave, drive down until you reach English street, then drive around the Roundabout -exiting on English St…it’s Just a couple shops up on the left side of the street, you’ll see a tall sign that says Bakery and Liquor Store (they’re two different entities but located next to each other.
The REASON I’ve gone to that bakery for so many years is because of their “Carmel Pecan Pastry or roll (whatever you want to call it.
Of course when I went there today around 1:30 ish… They were ALREADY SOLD OUT…it’s better to show up early, but I suppose it varies everyday, no guarantees … or ! Another thing thing that calls me back there is the Birthday cakes they sell! The small individual size. They look like a mini birthday cake about 3“x 3” AND NOT JUST FROSTING ON THE TOP…BUT ALL 4 SIDES!!! I like to keep one around in my freezer, so when I in a mood for something sweet, I take the cake out of the freezer and put on top, one very huge scoop of vanilla ice cream (preferably Häagen-Dazs Vanilla or VANILLA BEAN!) Good good stuff if you get in the mood, it’s there at your fingertips, I had one in my freezer for a month now but I feel a SWEET TOOTH ALL coming on!!!

We came near the closing time, so there weren’t many things left. I grabbed a raspberry filled chocolate cake. It is absolutely delicious. The raspberry spread inside tastes like fresh raspberries. The frosting isn’t too rich and overpowering. All around, I am very happy with my purchase, and I will be returning to try more things.

First time here! From the outside it looks sketchy, but I went inside anyway & glad I did! Nothing is gonna stop me from a donut! They had quick service, lots of items to chose from. If you need hotdog buns, they got em. Hamburger buns? They got em! Crispy garlic toast? They got em! Cream filled donut? They got em! Plain donut? They got em! Cookies? They got em! Bread? Yup, u guessed right- they got em! I ate a cream filled donut in the parking lot, so soft & fresh! Delicious! Try this place!! I bought 6 donuts for $8, great prices.

Amazing bakery. We use the fritter bread in our cafe to make french toast and my wife says they have the best sour dough.

This bakery is amazing! The prices are unbeatable and the donuts and donut holes are some of the best I’ve ever had. The only 2 things that are a bummer are that the hours are so short (would love some Sunday hours!) and that the apple fitters(my personal favorite type of pastry) have a slight chemically after taste and there’s barely any apple in them. I’ve tried them multiple times and each time they just don’t hit for me. BUT, every place has a thing that doesn’t work for someone and I will definitely be going back to get more donut holes and try other types of donuts and breads as well. The dough can’t be beat!

This bakery was a great choice!! I ordered a cake and it was just as good as everyone I work with and all the others on the reviews said. So tasty and the people working are so kind and pleasant. If you’re looking for the old style bakery type vibe then this is the place.

Do not leave the Twin Cities without visiting this bakery and purchasing a sweet delight from them. Word of advice: be there by 0700 for the best selection…
