As someone with Portuguese heritage, going to Lita in Aberdeen was such a great experience and it made my birthday even more special. The food was absolutely amazing and full of flavor, with a creative and delicious twist on some traditional Portuguese dishes. You can really tell how much care goes into every plate. Lita came highly recommended from a trusted source, and after enjoying their sister restaurant – Heirloom Kitchen – my wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We sat at the chef’s counter and had the 5-course chef’s tasting menu; what a unique and incredible experience. The chef’s counter is very interactive. You’re sitting almost literally inside the kitchen, with the magic happening all around you. All the cooks were incredibly friendly and welcoming – we were made to feel right at home. The servers are actually all cooks as well, and they rotate between front of house and back of house, so they know the food and the menu like the back of their hands. And speaking of the food, the one word that comes to mind is “delightful.” Because we experienced the tasting menu we didn’t actually have to order anything or make any selections, but I’ve attached photos of each course and accompanying menu descriptions. Crab salad, scallop crudo, skirt steak, duck, and cheesecake were among the offerings. The staff also included two additional courses – a gazpacho to begin and an excellent sorbet palate cleanser before dessert – so the 5 course menu really became 7. We chose not to include the sommelier’s wine pairings, but fortunately the couple next to us did, so we were treated to her expertise anyway, and she wasn’t hesitant to taste us on a few wines. The entire experience was truly unique, bespoke, and simply incredible. If you consider yourself a “foodie” and don’t mind going out on a limb and trusting the professionals, I HIGHLY recommend Lita and the chef’s counter in particular.

Really loved the concept and execution of Lita, serving an interesting prie fix menu (although they are changing to à la carte soon) with great options!
The Tuna Crudo was a delicious first bite, and I’d absolutely say the Portuguese Shrimp is one of the best options for the second. The black cod was so soft and delicious, but the seafood rice with it was really salty. I would say all the other mains, especially the Steak, were better in my opinion.
The drinks were interesting, and if you like a strong briny flavor, the Spanish martini is great. Most of their drinks are pretty strong as a warning.
Service was top notch, everyone was super attentive, and I like that they cycle the chefs through front and back of house, so everyone is very knowledgeable. Overall, loved the atmosphere, very intimate and fun energy with seeing the entire kitchen working right there, and would definitely visit again!

If I could give this review 6 stars, I would. This was hands down the best experience at a restaurant. From the vibes, the chefs and service to the most incredible food, I have no words. The creativity and the variety was fantastic. Shoutout to Irvin for the most fun experience and great suggestions! And one of the owners Danny for showing us their additional speakeasy space and chatting with us on the history of the restaurant. A beautiful way to celebrate my birthday; and so absolutely special!

The specificity in which things are done at this restaurant really should be the golden standard for all restaurants. The atmosphere, the cleanliness, the specificity for table settings, decor, bathroom ambiance is unparalleled to any place else. The service is outstanding and everyone is friendly and accommodating. Valentine’s Day Eve and they didn’t miss a beat. The food is outrageous- all of the time. Everything is perfect – ALL OF THE TIME. It’s worth the spend, each and every time. The Branzino dinner for the Valentines pre fixe was amazing. Shrimp turnovers are something you’ll dream about. If you haven’t gone- you need to.
I honestly can’t say enough things about how perfect the experience is- every time. Consistency is what keeps us going back. Plenty of places have an off night, but not this place.

Easily our best anniversary dinner yet. The food at the chef’s table was just incredible. The drink pairings were perfect. And every member of the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and really seemed to take pride in the experience. We will definitely return.

Lita is one of the best dining experiences that I can remember having. After arriving early and having good cocktails in the speakeasy, our group of six people had excellent dish after excellent dish, which I’m sure wasn’t easy considering it was only Lita’s second night of transitioning from prix fixe to a la carte. Our server, Lia, was A+, very personable and gave great recommendations across the board.
The Cherry Redhook was a great dinner drink. Though I’m not usually a coffee person, the Cafe Zamora was an even better dessert drink that paired well with the pineapple rosemary sorbet.
The shrimp turnovers, tempura green beans, skirt steak, fried chicken, and the two paella options were big highlights.

Lita is a total culinary journey, brilliant for casual drinks and tapas all the way to pure fine dining via the Chef’s Tasting Menu. Every experience in between is simply awesome. For our celebration, we sat at the bar, which offered a perfect view of the beautiful, bustling open kitchen.
We chose to sit at the bar bc we were going to only hit the tapas menu, and it exceeded every expectation. The plates are shareable, but the quality makes you want one all to yourself!
Every dish was flawless, but the Grilled Spanish Octopus demands special mention. It was tender, smoky, and seasoned. Superb service and an incredible drink selection rounded out the experience.
The story, the food, the love is felt in each bite. We are already planning our return for the highly anticipated paella or the immersive Chef’s Seat tasting menu. Lita is an absolute must-visit destination.
