Jimmy’s Pizza and Restaurant excels on every level.
How rare it is to find a pizza and sandwich place firing on all cylinders: fresh and tasty food, friendly owner and staff, spotless surroundings in the dining and kitchen areas, and consistently excellent service.
Owner Themis sets the tone with a love for cooking and a meaningful connection to the community he resides. Seemingly working at Jimmy’s round the clock, Themis and staff have an uncanny knack for creating dishes that taste like the ultimate prototype of what you would expect from this type of restaurant. Especially delicious are the Greek salads and pizza, calzones and gyros wraps and plates. The Greek salad rivals the legendary Christo’s in Brockton. Greek style pizzas combine the perfect crunch, slight sweetness and ideal ratio of cheese, tomato sauce, spices and herbs. Same for the calzones. The gyros are more aligned and authentic with what is served in Greece rather than the generic kind found at many pizza places.
Themis does take pride in including menu items inspired by his native land of Greece. It shows in many of the specialties like the gyros offerings.
The dining room is pleasant and larger than most places of this genre. Much of the business, however, relies on a robust take out element. Often, the interaction between staff and customer revolves around familiarity and pleasant conversations. This reflects the close knit community feel of Walpole. And Jimmy’s seems to be a household name within that community. They do a lot of reaching out, involved in good causes.
While Walpole has an impressive number of pizza houses that operate at a high level, I’d choose Jimmy’s first if pressed on giving a recommendation. It’s like a greatest hits collection of what makes pizza and sandwiches so appealing, convenient and, ultimately, delicious in their offerings.

Local joint that you shouldn’t miss. Friendly as hell, great food, huge portions, reasonable prices. Definitely added to my Walpole rotation, will visit again and again. Had steak tip salad and garlic bread, completely knocked it out.

Been going for over 20 years. Was always the best pizza in town. The past years, it just doesn’t taste the same. It is never consistent. Sometimes the pizza is soupy, other times it’s only half cooked, and other times it’s perfect. They seem to rush the pizza and it doesn’t cook evenly throughout. Every time I go to pick up, my pick is already out of the oven and waiting in a box and usually cold or luke warm. I keep going back but have been left unsatisfied each time.
