As a Thai, I can honestly say this restaurant is truly authentic and incredibly delicious. I love how simple the dishes are, yet perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Everything tastes clean, fresh, and well-prepared.
This was my first time here, and it definitely won’t be my last.
The service was absolutely on point also the staff have amazing service minds, and the owner is so kind and welcoming. You can really feel the care they put into everything.
Today I ordered Tom Kha Noodle, which I’ve never seen at any other Thai restaurant before (so unique and so good!), along with Wing Zaab, Larb Kai, and Shrimp Woon Sen Pad Thai and every dish was outstanding.
Can’t wait to come back again!

I ordered takeout today and got the Drunken Noodles, Curry Puffs, and the amazing Wing Zaab. The fried chicken wings are a new menu item, and I was seriously impressed even as takeout, they were still super crispy and incredibly delicious! Normally, I dine in at the restaurant, but today I didn’t have much time, so I ordered to-go. Honestly, the quality was just as good. This place is truly a hidden gem for Thai food in Kentlands. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to Thai Express for years now and its a solid 4-star take out / sit down for lunch Thai place especially for their specials. The menu is basic, but solid with your typical Thai options like Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, etc. However they do serve “Chefs Specialties” depending on the season. For example on my recent visit I got the Pumpkin Curry special, which was very good. Along with a Thai Tea, which is almost a requirement!
Service has always been friendly and quick whenever we eat in too, and the place is clean. Location is good, its a little hidden in the Kentlands (behind the Panera) but plenty of parking around.
Overall as I said, a solid 4 star experience. Nothing that will knock your socks off or unique, but just a good lunch time Thai place.

My family and I have been dining at Thai Express regularly since the restaurant first opened, and I can honestly say the standard has always remained just as good. The food is consistently clean and flavorful, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Sometimes I even get to meet the owner, Jimmy, who is always kind, friendly, and truly understands his customers.
There was one occasion when I felt a dish was a bit too spicy for me. I hadn’t mentioned that I wanted it mild. I simply didn’t realize it would be spicy. When I told Jimmy, he immediately offered to change the dish for me without charging anything extra. That level of service really shows how much they care about their customers.
This place feels homey, the dishes are MSG-free, and it’s a wonderful way to support a Thai-owned business abroad. I truly recommend everyone to come and try this restaurant, it’s one of those rare gems that makes you feel at home while enjoying authentic Thai food.

I had the best Thai meal here at Thai Express! Every dish was full of authentic flavor — no MSG, just real Thai cooking that brings you straight to Bangkok.
We tried the fried rice, pad thai with tofu, and glass noodle spicy salad with shrimp (Yum Woon Sen) — all were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked, and the seasoning was just right.

This review is long over due. I went there for a work trip and was craving Thai food. Thai Express was recommended by a few locals. Everything was so fresh, delicious and as authentic as it can get! My friend and I got a few dishes to share and it did not disappoint! The yum woonsen was my fave!

I specifically asked for super spicy pad thai and got extremely sweet pad thai. I don’t even taste any spice in it. I would’ve rather it be too spicy than no spice at all. I noted that I have a very high spice tolerance and I guess they just ignored that part. Not at all happy but it is made with quality ingredients and is a lot of food for the price. So if you don’t like a spicy pad thai then this place is a good pick. If you are looking for any sort of spicy thai food the DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE. Though I will say their Thai Iced Coffee is really good!
