The garlic chicken here is so good! We ordered a regular plate to share and it was more than enough! The staff were nice and service was fast. The shop inside is small so you just order your food and there’s seating outside. This place is Perfect for picking up food before you go to the beach! They have a lot of options on the menu.

The food was relatively priced and the flavors were great. However, both plates I ordered lamb chops and north shore shrimp scampi were overcooked. Also, the shrimp while it had good seasoning the shrimp wasnt peeled so once you pulled the shells off the flavor was gone and because the shrimp was over cooked they became rubbery. For that im leaving a 3star.

The fried chicken plate is a must, also you can tell the wings were cooked fresh and not frozen. The Mac salad was very creamy and complimented the fried food perfectly. The outdoor seating is great too especially if you travel with your Pet.

Good local grindz and a reasonable price. Burger patties had a nice crust and were not full of bread as a filler.
The garlic chicken is so ono.

This is one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots and Kailua. I am a frequent visitor and I absolutely adore this place. It’s quick and food is delicious. I have tried many dishes from here including aloha breakfast, empty da fridge rice, teriyaki burger, garlic fries, loco moco, garlic chicken, stew. None of them disappoint ! love that some of the menu comes in mini size as well. They have outdoor seating that’s shaded which is also a plus. If you are visiting Kailua, make sure to stop here for some delicious brunch or lunch !

A tourist spot to stop by. Their garlic chicken is pretty delicious. They got a mix of varieties of food to choose from. If you got that salad guy to carb loader to burger guy and even seafood diet, they have it all. They got a large selections of beverages to go with your meal. You can sit outside under the umbrella to enjoy the nice weather and breeze. Would come by again for a quick bite.

This place is a hidden gem. The portions are generous with lots of flavor. The prices are affordable when you think of the food prices in Hawaii. The restaurant’s set up is a bit weird because it makes you think it’s a convenience store vs. a fast food place. The customer service was good. I have see the prior postings complaining about customer service, but the staff were nice to us. I would definitely visit them again when I go back to Oahu. Although the chicken was breaded, it wasn’t too breaded to the point were you had more bread than chicken. It was actually the opposite and the chicken was moist and tender.

Me and my husband came to this spot as we walked by. Atmosphere wasn’t too welcoming but we were hungry and just needed something asap. We both got the Ali’l Mix which was garlic fried boneless chicken (2 pieces), thin rib beef (1 slice decent size), 1 piece of fish (small filet) and kilua (decent amount), macaroni salad and white rice. Then got the Katsu Chicken as a side dish.

As for the meal , neither of us like any of it except for the thin beef. The macaroni salad was not seasoned at all, the Tartar sauce just tasted like unseasoned cheap mayo with no relish, the fish didn’t seemed cooked all the way, the garlic chicken was hard and not seasoned. What disappointed me the most is I wanted to try the Katsu chicken, I specifically asked her what the Katsu sauce was on it, she showed me and said it was just a sweet sauce….disappointment kicked in when we finally opened our order to eat when we found the Katsu chicken just fried with NO sauce. Then the sauce she gave us on the side was BBQ sauce, not the Katsu sauce. (Picture attached) and the breading on the chicken had to type of flavor as well. I wouldn’t recommend or come back to this place.

I love my Hawaiian style plate, lunches, and particularly L & L Drive Inn and Da Kitchen (on Maui) and Fatboys is always a good option when I’m in the mood.

Their food is always good but their portions are definitely smaller than most L & L’s. This might be a dealbreaker for some, it definitely is for some of my teens lol.

I personally still enjoy the chicken katsu sauce from L & L (near windward mall specifically) but this is still very good.
