Taste is a full-service wine and bourbon tasting bar and retail liquor store. You can try our wines and bourbons here and take a bottle with you to enjoy later. We always have 15 wines on our tasting menu and the menu is updated frequently so there is always something new. We also have one of the largest selections of bourbon and whiskeys in the city with more than 400 open to taste. Our focus is fine wines from smaller vineyards in Europe, the Americas, South Africa and New Zealand, among others. On the bourbon side, we look for Kentucky distillers who produce in smaller batches, controlling quality and creating bourbons with smooth, rich flavors.

Taste is hands down one of my favorite finds in the city. Every time I’m in town, it’s a must-stop spot for me. There’s just something about the place that makes it feel special from the moment you walk in. The staff are always incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. They genuinely take the time to help you explore the selection and make great recommendations without ever making you feel rushed. You can tell they really care about what they do.
And the selection…wow. It’s almost overwhelming in the best possible way. There’s always something new and exciting to discover, which is part of what keeps me coming back every time I visit. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it. It’s one of those places that quickly becomes a tradition whenever you’re back in town.

This spot is a 10 of 10 any day of the week. We stopped in on a whim as part of our visit to Louisville for a family trip. We were seated quickly and given a seat in this cozy space. Went on what can only be considered as an intrepid tour of bourbon and wine. We were able to order flights of Kentucky specific whiskey and Brice, our guide, was particularly fantastic and a true a delight to hang out with. I hope to return (as much as possible) to finished the wall!

I am in Louisville for the weekend. I took a Lyft to Taste. When I got inside I realized I had left my phone in the backseat of the Lyft ride. The owner, Jerry, tracked down the Lyft driver for me and had him bring my phone back to Taste. He also made a dinner reservation for me. This is an excellent spot with the nicest people and staff. I had a pour of Frank August Small Batch while waiting. It was so good I got a bottle to bring back home. I’ll be back guys! Thank you Jerry and everyone at Taste!

If you want to get away from the noise and the massive sized bourbon bars on whiskey row then this is the place to be. I loved it so much I came here twice.
Michelle was a wonderful host and provided great company and conversation. Shared thoughts on a lot of bottles, and took her recommendations. I was a big fan of the Sherry cask finished bourbons by rabbit hole and cinder & smoke.

Went here for a wine tasting. Had a great experience. The server was great. He was really helpful and made the experience. Went around corner to novellas and this place was soo much better. I would def recommend if ur wanting to try some new wines.

This place is a gem. Was in from out of town for a weekend and looking for some good bottles (not easy to get some stuff where I live (in Ohio)). They have an excellent selection, and even better, a great staff to help pick things you may not have tried before. I had a fantastic experience and will be stopping by here every trip I take to Louisville moving forward
