Simply Marie’s has the feel of a classic diner. Service was excellent and the food took less than 5 minutes to come out. The food was delicious too, will definitely be trying all of the omelettes. Highly recommend, this place deserves to have a line out the door every day.

This place is a complete rip off. I went here today about an hour ago. As soon as I pulled up, I rang the doorbell to be answered by the owner who was DISGUSTINGLY RUDE off first instinct. I get to the register and stated that I would like steak and grits. She specifically asked me what kind of steak because she had two kinds on her menu as she handed the menu. I still didn’t see the types of steaks that she was referring to so she proceeds the say “ I have a T-bone steak witches $25 and I have another steak didn’t specify the cut which was $8” and originally I had came in there for the T-bone steak and egg platter but as soon as I got to the dorm was greeted by her nasty attitude. I knew that I wasn’t going to be spending that much money in this establishment. So I said OK give me the eight dollar steak and grits. She rings me up, and I forgot to mention that I wanted to add a drink so she rang the drink up separately which wasn’t an issue. The bottle of Ginger Ale costed $3 and some change. After that, she told me to have a seat and wait for my food so about 10 minutes past and I get my food and she asked how did I hear about her restaurant and I politely explain to her that it was funny that she asked that because my mother went to College with her son Robert and so on. Her demeanor completely changed after that moral of the story is I will not be back here. This is my first time coming here, but this is my first time feeling like my money was wasted after I returned back to my car and tasted the grits, they were super runny, not sweet even though I did ask her to sweeten them and she stated to me that I could put my own sweetener in them NOT stating that she wouldn’t give me sugar in the bag. ALSO the “Steak” was basically just overly SALTY STEAKUM STEAK. This lady is rude and disgusting and I don’t care how good her food is this place gets zero stars because of her customer service if you ask me. I will be notifying my family not to support this place anymore. This is unfortunate.

Quirky little neighborhood joint, tried it for the first time as it has had a bit of a “buzz” and found out there is a wizard in the kitchen!
The French toast platter was amazing – tons of French toast, scrambled eggs cooked perfectly creamy in the middle, and the best scrapple I’ve had in Maryland so far by far – crisp and toasty on the outside and soft in the middle. The turkey sausage with American cheese on a bagel was very good – the eggs were perfect again and tons of creamy cheese. (Should have probably tried the biscuit instead – next time.. )

Simply Marie’s is simply THE BEST. These are the best pancakes I’ve EVER had. We didn’t leave a bite left on the plate. The owner was very kind/friendly. The inside is clean but small (takeout if you don’t get there early) and the family story is so sweet. We will definitely be back!

Had a great experience at this restaurant. This is my second time visiting from Detroit and I love the food. Small family owned diner with really great quality food. The owner is the cook! Highly recommend the seafood omelette and the home style potatoes!

Simply Marie’s is a great place for breakfast or lunch on the weekends. Absolutely love this place! Sad that it took me a couple years of living in Canton to discover this place. Now that I have, am a regular customer. Food is always delicious. Never disappointed. Recently my go-to meals have been a BLT on white bread or a steak, egg, and cheese everything bagel sandwich. Don’t forget to add a side of home fries! You won’t be disappointed.

Local greasy spoon that serves simple breakfast food. Sad to say I was a bit disappointed, just average food and coffee. Setup is also not the best design with only one table in the center and barstool seating around the wall. With a line of people ordering it leaves almost no space to eat in. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Great experience overall. We ordered pancakes, sausage and gravy over biscuits, and an omelet. Everything was exactly as I hoped it would be. Well-priced, great portion sizes. compared to other local brunch spots, this place is the best bang for your buck. Everything was flavored well but not overly done. Service was excellent from the phone order to pick-up. Will definitely be returning in the future!

This restaurant was recommended by someone traveling in my group but I will not return. I wanted a breakfast sandwhich with egg whites, but they “ran out”. I asked how can they run out if they have fresh eggs? Can’t you just separate the yolk? I was told flat out NO. Ok didnt see anything else I wanted to try so I still ordered the crossaint breakfast sandwich with cheddar cheese. Someone else in my group got her breakfast sandwich before me, her cheese was melty and looked delicious. I couldn’t wait for mines. When my sandwhich came I did not see the cheese, was told my cheese was cooked into the egg? Never had a breakfast sandwhich made this way. It was VERY dry and disappointing. My husband ordered home fries but does not like onions. Asked for them to be prepared without onions. After waiting 30mins for our order we were told that all the home fries already have onions in them. Again something they couldn’t make fresh. We were the last to receive our food in the group and noticed we never even for the home fries. Overall poor experience. Others in our group enjoyed the food but I regret the 25% tip that was left for the type of service we recieved.
