My husband took me here after visiting this place with co-workers. What a treat! Extremely quick service. Never an empty basket of chips, never an empty salsa bowl, never an empty glass.
The food was incredible. Trust me on this one, go to El Rey and order Robert’s Special. You will not be sorry. Every single bite is a delight. It is large enough to share but we got our own because it was just SO good!
I will be telling anyone who will listen about this place. I will happily visit again…and again.

I’ve eaten here a few times and so far have not had a bad experience. From the friendly service to the delicious food, this place does not disappoint. This last time I was there, I had the cholo’s chilaquiles, and the chicken was so tender and flavorful. Portion sizes are big so you will definitely not leave hungry.

Last time my husband and I were in there, the waiter smelled like marijuana, my husband’s menudo had so much chilli powder that he couldn’t eat it and my fajita enchiladas were cold. They were too busy serving another table of Mexican workers tequila than they were waiting on their other customers. Food was good.. waitstaff is very impolite. I was carrying a baby in her car seat and thought the waiter blew past me to open the door for me, no it was to pick Mint out of the front flower bed (which is also gross cause people put their cigarette butts and spit in that cause they don’t know it’s herbs! GAG!!). Never got a refill on my water, took 20 minutes for the refill of chips I asked for. He cocked an attitude because of our highchair placement and was just rude all around. The food isn’t worth bad attitudes and bad service.

OMG. Wonderful food. My husband enjoyed the Mummy burrito. He sounded like the character from “What About Bob”., yum, yum, yum. I kept it simple with the cheese enchilada plate. They were on point. Our server started out a little harsh but warmed up. I will difficultly come back & venture to try one of the rice bowls I considered on this trip.

On a grey, rainy day we walked into this restaurant and it felt like the sun is shinning here with the colorful decor, the music and the cheery atmosphere. With good service, delicious food and yummy drinks, it certainly deserves the five stars. Recommended!!

Fast service for lunch. Had the chicken chilequiles with red sauce. They can put any sauce you want. Great flavor, lots of chicken and very fresh! Got my order to go. The chips are a bit thick but still good. The salsa is medium-hot spicy but served cold. Highly recommend!
