My son and I decided to try this place out since we were staying next door at the Best Western. It was a Friday night and the staff seemed to be a little undermanned so we had to wait a little bit before receiving service. However our waiter, an older gentleman, was very nice and pleasant. Food came out pretty quickly and it was very good! The steak tacos were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. Good food and great customer service!

One of the best Mexican food options in local Laurel area. We ordered catering for a large party and had a great experience. The owner suggested menu options that work great for parties. The cost was reasonable and everyone loved the food. We told what we wanted, number of people, and food was ready right on time when we needed it. Mixed fajitas (pic) are usually great. A lot of food.
Guacamole for the table was good. A tad bland. Very large portion, despite 4 eaters, we had enough to take home.

I used to come here all the time with my coworkers. I always got the Crab Stuffed Salmon
Grilled salmon stuffed with lump crabmeat and lemon butter. Served with white rice and veggies. It was soooo good! Also enjoyed their chips and guacamole. I need to visit soon.

A Laurel staple. Very good food and service in this restaurant (real old timers probably recall this used to be a Howard Johnsons, as was the adjacent hotel) located in the median between the US Route 1 North and South – bound lanes near Main Street.
They have good complimentary chips & salsa, which they refill if needed. The salsa is pretty good – the occasional large bit of onion or pepper indicates it’s made in house.
Shared 2 chimichangas – we each had half of the shredded beef (good) & the grilled chicken which had a great flavor.
Traditional margarita was pretty potent and tasty.
Always good service with a prompt kitchen.

Stayed at a nearby Hotel. Stop for nachos chips and dip. The food was surprisingly good so we ordered some takeout and decided to come back the next day and again the day after. The prices are reasonable and the wait staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is clean. Overall an excellent experience.

This was our first time and here and will definitely make this one of our go to spots!!! Great service, great food, nice size portions. Everything was amazing from the appetizers, to the entrees and the margaritas were all flavorful and delicious. Free fresh tortilla chips and house made salsa and the homemade guacamole were also amazing and the prices were very reasonable.

We have been patrons of Tampico for years. Always good food and satisfying. We are fans of their steak burrito w/ Chipolte sauce, their shrimp agave , their portobello enchilada, and their seafood enchilada. Their salsa and chips are always a welcome start to the meal. They are a local favorite for a reason. Recommend you give them a try if you are in the area.
