Went for an early dinner and had the best server ever. Brandon was amazing and definitely hope to have him again. Food was delicious and super flavorful. We got the Mexican burger and bacon cheeseburger definitely recommend. We also got to enjoy some live music. Overall love roosters

First time coming here and omg it was delish. The perfect place to come whether you are in the mood for either Mexican or classic American breakfast. Their Menudo is the closest to how my mom makes it. Their pancakes are so fluffy and warm

Today was our first time eating at the Rooster Cafe. It was an excellent experience. The food, service, restaurant and atmosphere was outstanding. We were very politely greeted as we walked in and felt right at home immediately. Our server was Brandon, very polite and professional and made us feel welcome the entire time. Our food was served very quickly, considering the amount of people in the restaurant. We had 2 Barbacoa plates and 1 Machacado plate. They were good portions and delicious. The tortillas were homemade corn and flour and also delicious. The prices were reasonable. The whole experience was enjoyable and we always felt like we were treated like family members. As we left, we were met by the owners at the door, who very sincerely and politely thanked us for our patronage. It’s nice to know there are still family owned and operated restaurants like The Rooster Cafe, people who know how to treat their customers right. We look forward to the next time we visit The Rooster Cafe.
5 Stars!

Excellent service. Food certainly brought back a lot of childhood memories. Simple & flavorful. Menu is somewhat confusing, so ask the service. Ordered the weenies breakfast & rooster breakfast plates with fluffy pancakes & homemade little corn tortillas. Support local.

My wife and I have been there twice including this morning. We were lucky and got there just before the breakfast rush.
Our waitress was , friendly, pleasant, professional and tended to us as soon as we sat down.
Our order was to perfection,
Fresh and hot.
There were multiple servers making rounds to assure everyone had fresh coffee as well as checking to see if they needed anything else (even though they weren’t tendering that station). Lots of DPS officers each time we’ve been there give a person the sense of security and pride knowing that we are are in good hands not only at the restaurant but as a civilian.

11•27•24 This was our 2nd time to come and give it a second try, but with lunch, not breakfast. I ordered Becky’s plate pretty decent. Presintation is good and taste was good too. Do recommend this dish. My only error was choosing corn tortillas they were ok but were preheated and got hard, so that was a hard pass, but the plate was enough for me. And he ordered the Chicken Enchiladas were ok reason ok is cause the chicken Enchilada on the inside was a bit dried not that moist so yea a biifof chese may help the chicken be moist on inside plus needed a bit more of the enchilada sausebfor that imparticular plate. So that dish was just ok, not bad, just ok. The carne gisada is pretty decent and good. im sure it would taste gr-8 with a flour tortilla. Maybe next time, I’ll give it a try. The complimentary conchita soup was very good, super hot, but it was great. I liked that a lot. And a plus for NO mopping during our lunch so you can taste your meal.. that was good.

10•6•24 This is our first time here @ 2:30pm… still people in restaurant but ok, let me explain.. idk if it was my arrival time 55 min before closing time, yet I ordered the simple things eggs. Got a pork chop and eggs waitress asked how i wanted them. I said well medium hard cooked, come back, and no still the raw stuff on egg.” Pork chop was hard, not moist yet tough even to cut. I am skeptical because of the toughness. I hope I don’t get sick, but parts look pink. And set aside. So ate what was white yet tough. Beans are good. I asked for flour tortillas, and it could have been good if they had left burners on just to reheat or unless it was freshly made and it was made on a cold skillet IFYKYK So it tends to get stiff and crumbles, so it’s like not good. Pic on here. Overall, my plate it was a 3☆ presintation, and it looked good, but taste was not good yet very bland. There was no spice on that chop. My husband ordered the waffle egg plate scramble eggs, sausage, grits, and 1 waffle. Again, presintation is good, but those grits were super watery, not even a good texture. It’s like open pk, and lots of water was not even good. Short clip vid. Yet you have to prepare it and even then too much water was not good. And lastly, as we are eating, I understand about cleanliness, but if it’s not one thing I hate in restaurants Mopping during people trying to eat and enjoy. Was bad enough food wasn’t great and eating and TASTING FABULOSO is a huge NO, I’m not being picky but come on Roosters Country mngmt do an experiment with yourself and staff order a good meal have someone mop same time your eating and guaranteed you will not taste food. So yeah, that bothered me not to mention that I felt rushed eating inside because we were 2nd to the last to leave, so I just ate whatever on my plate with a fabuloso taste in my mouth. Maybe timing as I said, I may give it another try, but for sure with maybe 3 hours left till closing. If you want to dine 1 hour before closing, don’t go. You will have a very rushed meal prepped, and then for you to eat it quickly, because they are ready to leave yea, it’s not a good idea. Just stating facts of how it went. The staff was nice, but, as I said, those were the errors I experienced.

First time trying Roosters. We went for breakfast. It has a good mix of American and Mexican food. I had the biscuits and gravy. It was really good and came with a side of eggs and hashbrowns. My wife had gorditas with migas and barbacoa. They were so big we could have shared them. We will definitely be returning.

First time, and I had steak and eggs with grits, and I don’t think the price matches the plate. The food was ok and really didn’t stang out, the grits were disappointing as they didn’t have flavor and they were drowned in butter. The steak needed flavor and was a little tough. The service was great as the waitress was attentive.
