My wife and I came to NOLA to celebrate our Anniversary and celebrate we did. One of the locations we chose to dine at was Southern Girl Creole Cafe. A quick look on Google and the rating draw us in , then we find out they are family members sealed the deal. Walked in and the Aroma of mouth watering deliciousness hit our faces and we were ready for everything . My wife had the creamy shrimp and Grits and I had the hot sausage breakfast sandwich. We both had the beignets, and oh my heavenly goodness they were perfect. Warm, soft, flaky and fluffy. PERFECT. This was a great place to stop by and a must for us on the next trip.

My Goddaughter came to New Orleans for the first time and I wanted her to have a great NOLA experience. Myself, my daughter and Goddaughter went here for brunch. None of us have ever been to this place. OMG was it so good!!! We had the crawfish queso fries, shrimp and grits, catfish and grits, hot sausage breakfast sandwich and beignets. All of it was amazing
The staff acted like we knew each other forever and made us really comfortable. We ordered more fries and beignets to go so we can snack on them later. I will be back for sure!

We were staying at an Airbnb right around the corner. I saw this place and thought why not try it and support a black owned business. The ambiance is so pretty ! Jane was our waitress and she was so sweet and accommodating. She was even trying to help us find a good ghost tour by contacting a friend of hers. Felt like home. The food was hot and everything was SO GOOD. Everything ! Come by and support this business !

So good. The real deal. I highly recommend the southern girl gumball greens and the creole fried chicken breast bites. Oh, and don’t forget the sweet tea blended with lemonade! I’d give them six out of five stars if I could.

Went here to pick up a Too Good to Go Order. They get points for partnering with TGtG which is a great organization for cutting down on food waste, and many points for the delicious food provided through that service! Their crawfish baked potato is flavorful and creamy, 10/10. The chef and employees were so kind. While I was waiting for my food they graciously allowed a tourist family to be seated after closing. It was a bit warm inside, but not uncomfortable. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to return !

Excellent! A PERFECT 10! I dined in today and tried the Fried Chicken Bites & Cajun Fries. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and staff that makes you feel right at home. The service was attentive and friendly, and Ms. Jade was happy to explain the menu. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for flavorful food in a relaxed setting ❤️

Great neighborhood gem. Owners were wonderful, friendly and made you feel at home. Food was delicious.We ordered the fried chicken bites, gumbo greens, corn and the crawfish cornbread (which we caught fresh out the oven). Food was seasoned perfectly, not too heavy and just right. A group of us came down from New York, and the owners, Jade and Paul, were quite friendly and welcoming. Food was also excellent – we ordered fried chicken and beignets, hot sausage sandwich, and fries. All delicious & would highly recommend!
