We are absolutely blown away by the meal we had this evening. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were delighted. The interior design is beautiful and the perfect.
The service is the best you’ll get anywhere. Like a well oiled machine everyone there works as a team to make sure every moment is perfect.
The sushi and the ramen were the best we’ve had in our entire life. We just couldn’t be happier thank you all so much for an amazing date night dinner.
After a very quick google search to find “good sushi near me” we stumbled across possibly the best sushi we have ever had in Vegas! The staff were so welcoming and really helped us make the decision to eat at the restaurant.
The menu is big and potentially daunting but our lovely waiter helped us to navigate it and was ready with suggestions!
The sushi chefs behind counter felt like Masters of their Art .. food was quick, flavourful and so beautiful !
We will hopefully be back on our next holiday.. we nearly went twice in our 6 day trip .. it was that good!
Thank you for such a great experience ❤️❤️❤️
I ordered an old fashioned which took a little bit longer to come out. As a result of that, the server made it super special and turned it into a smoked old fashioned. What a nice touch/service recovery.
Everything we had here was divine as shown on the pictures. The sushi was fresh and the oysters, albeit being tiny, packed so much flavor. The Uni pasta was interesting, but in a good way. I would say the price point is truly warranted because of the quality of the fish and other dishes, as well as the exemplary service that is provided during the meal. The server even asked for our names and shook our hands as we were about to leave. I hope that Taru stays in business for a long, long time. We will be back to support, no doubt.
This sushi is as fresh as you can get in this part of the country. Service is attentive, unobtrusive, and topped with helpful suggestions. Price points are fair.
They have a fantastic bar and excellent selection of wine, beer, saki, and cocktails.
We needed a moment to get through the menu- they present a broad selection that’s worth spending some time on.
We went with–>
Truffle Sashimi Trio
Smoked Toro Sashimi
Chu Toro Roll
Great White Shark Roll
Crazy Salmon Roll
Fire In The Hole Roll… (spicy)
Expansive bar service virtually guarantees you’ll get what you want. That said, even though you probably have a favorite, they offer signature cocktails that you should consider.
You will be greeted by owner, Joon. In that instant, you’ll know you’ve picked the right place. They are ideal for couples and can easily handle large parties.
They use the team approach led by our server, David. For this meal, cadence mattered and he ran the timing with perfection. Thank you David! And thanks extended to everyone else who took such good care of us.
I’ll recklessly throw out that like most tourists, we tend to stick to the strip. This trip is different by choice. Most of our meals are off and away from the strip. This choice was our best so far. An added bonus, Joon checked on us and shared some of the other local things we could try. A 5-minute walk about a block is Shanghai Square. Small boutiques and other shops are scattered between other eateries. What a great way for us to enjoy a low stress after dinner! There is a very unique shop with cool items that you’ll have to see for yourself.
*We will be back this summe4 to check in on Joon, David and all the great folks at Taru.
My boyfriend doesn’t love fish but the servers were so knowledgeable and really took their time to help find great introductory sushi for him.
We felt so welcome and cared for here, everyone is extremely personable and really wants to make sure you get something you enjoy.
Drinks are yummy and they make sure it’s something you like. 10/10 very reliable
We opted for the spicy margarita, half dozen raw oysters, pork belly, chicken thigh, and short rib skewers, mussels and clams, and an assortment of nigeri.
The oysters and nigeri were some of the best I’ve had in Vegas so far.
A great sushi spot when you want to dine off the strip!
We started with the spicy cauliflower, salt-spicy squid, and drunken black mussels, all bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious. The sushi was the real highlight: the Taro practically melted in my mouth, the salmon belly was creamy and delicate, the halibut (hirame) was so fresh, and the broiled eel was rich and savory.
The servers and sushi chef were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Don’t skip the sake, Senkin Immortal Wing was incredible and paired perfectly with the meal.
This is definitely a spot worth visiting when in Las Vegas. I only wish I had more room to try even more from the menu.
