During our stay at the Holiday Inn, we decided to have lunch at their on-site bar for convenience. I ordered the Prime Burger, while my partner went for the Spicy Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The bar had a spacious and relaxed atmosphere, with only a few people around. The prices were reasonable, and the server who helped us was very friendly. Overall, we had a satisfying experience. It seems like they also have a happy hour, but we only stopped by during lunch.

Golda was the best part of our day. Our flights were cancelled and we were stuck in New York another day. Our original bartender was not so great and we waited over 30 minutes to get served at the bar. Golda showed up and served us right away. We got a variety of drinks and she did such a good job with every drink.

Friends this has to be one of best airport hotel (inside Holiday Inn) bars around. We were at the DoubleTree and not impressed by the vibe, menu, or prices…. so did the 4 minute walk down the access road (the hotels are neighbors but have security preventing easy cross over). A great cozy little place with low music, TVs, a menu with better prices and variety, a good draft beer selection, and very friendly staff and manager. Large 22oz craft beers for $9.75 and a delicious Prime Cheeseburger with all the fixings and homemade sauce was a mere $20 (don’t forget, you are at an airport hotel outside NYC after all). The $2 upgrade charge for homemade onion rings was completely worth it. All the food was definitely above your average hotel quality. We ate that delicious burger so fast, didn’t even get a picture! Golda (bartender) was very friendly and helpful, and Rich (manager) was super friendly visiting with everyone. Overall, if you are near the EWR airport, definitely the best option. We’ll be back for sure.

I ordered the Prime Burger with fries. The burger was juicy and had a lot of flavor, and the fries were crispy and tasty. There are probably better restaurants close by, but for a hotel restaurant this was pretty decent and hit the spot.

I was very happy with the service I had received at this bar/restaurant mainly because of the bartender Golda. Her attitude and service was really appreciated as I travel almost every week around the country for work. In fact I had other options to stay in the area, however because of Golda, I decided to stay at this hotel for the next two work visits. Thank you!

This place is convenient if you’re staying at the Hotel and the prices reflect that.. With that being said, the food is pretty good. I personally liked the burger I ordered and also the wings. But the service was very lack luster… I don’t think it was entirely her fault because they appeared to be short staffed. But when you and your friend spend $150 each (after drinks and food) I’d like to see better service. The bartender was killing it tho!

One of the most inhospitable restaurants I’ve ever been to. I was staying at the Doubletree next door for a conference and needed some late night food, so I headed over here since Google told me it was open until 12. I arrived at 11:40 and was greeted by a blocked off door and a manager saying they were only accepting to go orders. This was fine with me as I intended to order food then go back to my room but I felt entirely unwelcome. I ordered from the happy hour menu but was charged regular pricing until I alerted the manager who went to the back to change it. I had to ask for the beer I ordered. It was handed to me at the door. I immediately spoke to the manager and told him I felt very unwelcome in his establishment despite the fact that they weren’t even closed yet. As a bartender, I understand wanting to leave at a reasonable hour, but have never locked customers out *before* closing time. Mike apologized and allowed me to sit at a table.

Update: I’ve updated this from 1 star to 4. The manager Mike explained that they had a crazy night due to a cancelled flight and dozens of patrons with vouchers. He offered me dinner and a drink on my next visit and I appreciate that he took the time to address and correct the issue

Goulda is an exceptionally gifted bartender. The food was great, the beers were cold and the service was exceptional.

Appreciated this tall, cold beer after a day of travel…and before another day of travel. Friendly, attentive staff. Terrific burger and great onion rings. If you’re at the DoubleTree nextdoor, just walk the shoulder of the road over to the Holiday Inn where Ted’s is housed. Cheers!
