The surf and turf hibachi were ver good and tasty. The egg noodle stir fry was also very good in flavor and had a yummy sauce and vegetables. Tempura ice cream was pretty good but the green tea ice cream did not taste like green tea

Probably one of the best sushi restaurants I been in Metuchen. I recommend evergreen roll, avocado roll, sweet potato roll, veg tempura, and miso soup.

Excellent sushi, all fish is super fresh. I got the Manhattan roll which was delicious. My gf got the dynamite roll which we didn’t like because the spicy yellow tail on top felt”mushy”. I think we just didn’t like the texture. The fish was good. We’ve been there a few times and always had good meals. Never crowded.

For years, this was my favorite local sushi place. However, the service has gone downhill. The last several visits, the server is not friendly at all. I figured after the 3rd same type of visit, I’d write a review. While the restaurant atmosphere or decor is nice, it’s just not friendly anymore. The sushi is pretty good, the other food options are decent. What annoyed me each of these last few times is after they serve your food, they never check back to see if you need anything. Additionally, my daughter ordered an entrée on the menu – a bento box- that clearly said it comes with soup AND salad. The server insisted it was OR. When my daughter told her to eliminate the dumpling from the order, she said she’d bring both, then didn’t. When we reminded her, she said no – only one or the other. By the way, their lunch specials used to come with soup and salad. They phased that out on the 2 or 3 sushi rolls in the past couple of years, but the bento box listed for both. It’s so unfriendly that I’m not inclined to go back and sad about what it is now vs what it used to be.

The sushi restaurant is nice and quaint. Small inside but they do offer dinning outside. Order the holiday ball, rising sun and brocolli n garlic in brown sauce. The sushi was absolutely amazing. The broccoli was okay. UPDATE: (love the broccoli! )The brown sauce was not thick but watery. I would recommend

The sushi here is very delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very cute and quaint as suits well for a town like Metuchen. Anyone in this area, I recommend supporting this local business!

The food was good as usual . However, the low meditation-style music in the background made it hard to enjoy our meal — I could barely have a conversation because I could hear every word from the nearby tables. A slightly more upbeat background playlist would really enhance the overall dining experience.

I went there to grab a bite. I parked in the lot behind the restaurant in a sushi Suzuki spot when a Chinese man smoking a cigarette told me to leave the spot before I get towed. I told him I was going to the sushi restaurant to eat. After yelling he stormed inside the restaurant. I did not go there to eat and I won’t be going back. I have been there a dozen times after this incident I won’t suggest anyone to even go there. I got yelled at and threatened to have my car towed because I parked in the restaurant that I was going to spot.

I really did not enjoy dining here. I ordered Chirashi and a Philadelphia roll. The interior of the Philly roll was about 50% cucumber and I could barely taste any other ingredients. The sashimi in the chirashi was pretty flavorless and contained white tuna (escolar) which I tend to avoid. I left pretty disappointed.
