We went for a new years glow in the dark party/ gathering, dj lexi rocked, playing great dance music in which we danced to most of the evening, having taken these pics at the photo table, they had to offer to take amazing pictures for the great memories. They had great party glow in the dark balls, bracelets, glasses and markers, bartenders alicia & a guy were great, friendly & served us with greatness. Thank you white horse for an amazing and fun evening!

Havent been out in yelm in so long. Didn’t realize they needed to hold my card to have an open tab. Anyways they don’t have a food menu the lady said but rattled off some food items. We just got a burger and fries and a burger n onion rings. Food was good but couldn’t find ketchup or the bartender to ask her got my second drink from the bar. The outdoor patio is really nice. They were not busy for the game except one big 10 top. So not sure if that’s a norm for the place or not.

When my gal pal said, “Let’s do steak night” at a small town pub, I was very skeptical and had low expectations (I’m a steak snob), but was I ever wrong! The chef came out and personally asked how we wanted it cooked, and he did a perfect job on all our steaks from my rare (better be red in the middle) to the medium with just a hint of pink. The service was perfect and attentive; the bar tender was engaging and convinced me to try a new drink that I loved. The local clientele were friendly, and the place had a great vibe of music but not too loud, so we could all talk and laugh together. Fabulous night, and I’m looking forward to their next steak night!

Love the dive bar scene and this one seems to be where all the locals are at.
I love the chalkboard walls in the bathroom. Everytime I go there I make sure to go to the bathroom to see the new messages on the board.

This is a great little bar. It’s not exactly a classic biker bar anymore but it’s pretty close which means the great views are actually plenty of bikes to look at especially in the nice weather. The owner recently updated the back patio and it is amazing! Very much looking forward to it this summer, it’s spacious for standing and has great seating. The bar itself has neat history details still like cabinet coolers for the glasses and even the old slide bar is still intact. Bartenders can be hit or miss but it’s a small place for the crowd they draw some nights. Their food nights have all been decent so far, no one should expect much for such a small place as far as food goes anyway. The sound system is fantastic for such a small bar as well as the bar games they managed to fit into the place. Out of the bars in town I’d say the White Horse is almost always worth a stop in

$10 minimum on cards is kinda greedy bs.
Update:
Fees on cc processing are either a percentage, or a percentage + flat charge. Even if they are doubled, 3.5% -> 7% doesn’t justify a 50-100% surcharge on an individual drink – which already has a high margin of profit. The bartenders suffer most as it’s hard to justify generous tipping when you’re paying $10 for a $5 drink (that the bar probably purchased for $2.5).
If you have some specific examples to explain why a customer should be charged $10 for a $5 drink, that would be helpful. If you’re paying extortionate fees to your cc processor, I suggest you find a new one. 2.5% + $0.50 seems to be pretty average from the processors I have worked with.

We went into this establishment a year ago. Barely any customers, stood waiting to be seated. When we walked in, waitress looked at us then walked out back. Waited for like 5 minutes, she never came back. Person at bar didn’t even acknowledge us, went across street and ate. The customers in there had nothing positive to say about this place either

Friendly staff and regulars. A nice selection of craft beers both on draft as well as in bottles and cans. A few food options, including tasty burgers and some weekly specials that sounded really good. Good pricing on the drinks with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Trivia on the TV. Make sure to try the burgers.

We typically start off across the street to play pool because there is two tables, more room and it’s a little more low key. Then we finish off our evening at White Horse with another game of pool, which is sometimes a long wait and overcrowded around the table. The DJ is great, the music is fun and the bartenders are super friendly and attentive. Overall it’s a great place to end the evening. B+
