If you’re use to a small town friendly bar this is the place just avoid after midnight,unless your use to a little more exciting, energetic, different crowd.

My style of bar is a nice bartender, friendly customers,cheap beer,but a good strong drink when you need one. Most importantly a good variety of locals with great knowledge to help solve any dilemma you may be trying to solve.. I love places like this, I can get information on how to unplug my sink to the best place to get a steak or have my car repaired,my carpet cleaned or invited for one of these many free holiday dinners,”especially helpful if you single with no place to go or just missing home.

Comfortable, light and easy going atmosphere. Cheerful, attentive bartenders and full bar selections available. Standard bar/tavern food options. Video poker machines. Small crowd of friendly regulars; it’s never been overly crowded when I’ve been there yet there are always plenty of people to socialize with.

Montana’s Bar is a cool place for me. I go there several times a week to play Video Lottery games. This place is not very spacious, but generally the crowd is tolerable, although, on occasions it has a tendency to be a bit rowdy. The owner, is really on the cool side. At least that’s my experience with him. The ladies who work there are nice, and seem to have a good report with the patrons. And whenever a contentious incident occurs, the ladies (staff), take charge and quickly get things under control and back to a pleasant setting. The serve drinks. Beer and mixed drinks and a free glass of soft drink . The have food for eat in,and I do believe to go orders as well. Hours of operation varies, depending on day of week and crowd on hand. Go there, you’ll have fun.

I was here after dark and I did not feel safe sitting in the parking lot. This is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in portland. Don’t mouth off just for a kick cause likely come face to face with your worst nightmare. Inside was almost a shock, id never been in before the one time entry. It was not busy, the bartender didn’t look like he could handle a friendly joke but he wasn’t rude though. I didn’t win playing poker but then again I didn’t stay long. I will go back then update again

Everything you want in a neighborhood bar at decent bar prices. The bartenders alone are worth stopping by to have a drink since the bar is on the burnside/stark bus route. Meaning you should stay for double and meet a few people. Have fun. UPDATE 12/11/2022: not only did i have a great time again but i met a few more cool people too.
