Absolutely delicious! Kudos to this restaurant for getting it right! We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. Our wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Came here for Birthday Brunch and had the best time. The music / ambience was very nice and gave an upscale vibe to brunch. I ordered the ribeye chilaquiles and they were amazing! Large portions and very flavorful!! I am a latte girlie and when I asked the waiter said even though they don’t have espresso they can make a cold brew version. I typically would’ve declined, but they were so friendly and the food was so good that I just knew the drink was going to be delicious.. and it was! Definitely a must try if you’re a coffee drinker. All in all I give them 10/10 all around – not one negative point and kudos to the staff, chefs, and management. Definitely support this business!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Toast! (January 19, 2026) 1 PM to 5 PM. Our waitress (who was serving the outdoor area) was outstanding – super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed even though we stayed for a really long time. She was genuinely great and contributed so much to the relaxed vibe.
The food was delicious and hit the spot perfectly. The ambience outside was so nice – chill, welcoming, and the perfect spot to unwind. Honestly, this is the longest we’ve ever stayed at a restaurant, and we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great service, tasty food, and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you to our amazing waitress – we’ll definitely be back! ”

After reading several good reviews, we decided to try this place. The welcome greeting was fine, we got our table and received the menus. Right away we were asked about drinks. I asked for a few minutes, but not even 2 minutes passed when she came back and asked about the drinks again. She offered us a few minutes, but the waitress did the same again. She came back with the drinks and asked for the order. Same pressure again. Ok, we ordered. My Eggs Benedict were over cooked, my husband felt that his Green Chili Chilaquiles were “dog food” presentation and after a few bites, he just couldn’t eat them. He said the tasted okay, but the bottom was soggy and by the time he would get to them they would be mush and definitely “dog food”. The french toasts were more like “cinnamon extreme!” Seemed to be milk with an overload of cinnamon and very little egg. The edges were very hard. We had told the waitress that we were going to share the french toast, but the server didn’t bring a plate. We needed the plate and that took a while. Later we needed a clean fork and it took another while to get anyone to help. So they seem to be around to get your order, but not to check for any needs after that.

First time at Toast Kitchen, and I must say the food is good and those Mimosa flights are delicious. Quite busy because it’s the weekend, but I definitely recommend it. The servers and staff were great. They have two TVs, giving you the ability to watch sports. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a spot in Downey.

We had a great brunch on Saturday. The food was delicious. I had the Santa Barbara eggs Benedict and someone else had the classic EB. Two people had avocado toast and two had french toast. One had the veggie omelette. Everyone enjoyed their food. The service was good…we got our food VERY quickly, but it took a little while to get our bill. There is a sign that mentions limiting parties to a “90 minute dining experience.” That is plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal.
Regarding the atmosphere, it was very loud and in the corner booth where we were sitting, we didn’t feel any air conditioning.

Dom was amazing…great service and reminded us of the bottomless mimosa special which saved us a lot of money. We will definitely be coming back just for her…. She was friendly, enthusiastic and made our time here 10 times more enjoyable. We saw her supporting the bar top and other tables at the same time which means that she’s a team there

Music selection is great. Waiting staff needs to check their tables to see if anything is needed. Only saw our waiter when we placed our order and when the food was brought to the table. I’m not a fan of their “hash browns fries” give me the traditional hash browns.

Today was my first time trying this place for brunch and overall I would say I would come back. Immediately as I walked in, I thought the decor was cute and there were photo op props by the entrance. The vibe was nice and there were some girls having a birthday brunch and enjoying mimosas which looked fun.
Even though the place was not too busy, the service was slow. It took a while for someone to come and take our drink order and even longer to get our food order and then we waited quite a while for our food.
I ordered the French toast with eggs and country potatoes, my sister ordered strawberry cheesecake French toast with sunny side up eggs and bacon and my mom ordered the simple breakfast. My sister and I ordered iced lavender lattes. They do not have hot lattes only iced and hot coffee which was disappointing. The food was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was worth the wait. However I sent the lavender lattes back. It was so watered down even though I asked for oat milk. It was not good. It seemed like they mixed it with water instead. I couldn’t drink it. My mom ordered a Agua de pepino and it comes in a quart sized mason jar and I gave it a taste and it was perfection.

Aesthetically pleasurable , the short, round blonde hair women in the front desk was a bit rude ,our waiter was great and prompt even for Mother’s Day!
The drinks on point! The Peach mimosas and espresso martinis delicious! The Arnold Palmers had to be sent back due to tasting watery and lacking sweetness. The caesar salad flavor was mouthwatering. French toast was not really much to rave about, I didn’t really eat it due to tasting bland. The portions are worth the price. The chicken and waffle also had bacon on top which was a nice spin, chicken was a bit bland as well. The sample platters were delicious.

I recently visited Toast and was blown away by the entire experience. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, making it the perfect spot to relax or enjoy a good day with friends. The mimosas were on point perfectly balanced and refreshing. But the real highlight? The French toast! It was beyond amazing fluffy on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, topped with just the right amount of cheesecake and fresh fruit.
The food overall was incredible, with every dish crafted to perfection. Our waiter was amazing and friendly !!Whether you’re here for brunch or just a casual drink, Toast is definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommend it!
