Ellie’s Deli is hands-down one of Naperville’s hidden gems!
I stopped by Ellie’s Deli on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. The moment you walk in, you can feel the neighborhood charm that lets you know you’re in the right place.
I ordered the Brazilian panini and it was outstanding! Everything tasted incredibly fresh — the meats were flavorful, the veggies were crisp, and the bread was soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together. You can tell they take pride in the little details.
What really sets Ellie’s apart, though, is the service. Everyone is genuinely warm, patient, and happy to help you decide if you’re stuck between a couple of options. It feels like the kind of place that remembers you after a few visits.

Reviews didn’t lie. I drive around a lot and I rely on reviews to (hopefully) steer me in the right direction when it comes to above average eats. This place did not disappoint. Warm, friendly staff to start your experience. Food was served up fairly quickly for it being freshly prepared. I ordered the Brazilian steak sandwich to go but knew right away to eat in vs in my car. Looked, smelled delicious and tasted even better. Add to it a side of well-cooked and salted fresh cut fries (thin cut) and I knew I made the right choice. I only write reviews if something was amiss or worth lauding. So here I am telling you first-rate experience. Now you know. Thank you, Ellie’s family/staff!

If you’re looking for a great lunch or dinner spot, you should definitely check this out! I got the veggie burger combo with sweet potato fries and as soon as I took the first bite of the burger, I could tell it was fresh and truly homemade. The fries were so good, my brother got regular fries and they were salted perfectly. The chef delivered our food to us himself and asked if we needed anything else! Super friendly staff and a great selection of items! Will be coming back soon

Had a great experience at Ellie’s Deli. This is a small family owned shop. They made me feel welcomed and helped me recommend some great sandwiches. Had the famous Naperville’s reuben sandwich, the toasted turkey wrap, the Greek salad and their home made chips and everything was very delicious! I’m looking forward to come back here in the future and try the other delicious sandwiches!

I had a delicious Reuben on amazing gluten free bread! The bread held up and didn’t crumble apart which usually happens. Generous meat and sauerkraut balanced perfectly. Their fresh cut fries are salted and fried perfectly, and thin! I can’t wait to go back to try other options.

The menu offered an impressive variety of options. Their Brazilian steak is my favorite, but during this visit I ordered the Italian sandwich and I must say, it was an experience that left me craving for more!

$30 for two sandwiches w/ fries and it was very much worth it! The food smelled amazing before we even opened the containers.
I got a turkey panini w/ sweet potato fries and my partner got the pastrami rueban w/ regular fries. Waited about 15 minutes. Food was absolutely delicious!

If you feel lile a “light but satisfying” lunch. The bread is light, the chicken is light and the Orzo pasta salad is light. I wolfed down a triple cheeseburger at McDonalds, also delicious.

I came to Eli’s Deli on a Saturday after a hair cut at great clips, where the barbers mentioned that this is the best lunch stop nearby. I drove across the road to Eli’s and was greeted by a clean restaurant with a modern atmosphere. The staff helped me decide on my order—a Philly cheesesteak with everything on it and curly fries.
The food came out in quick time, and it was delicious. The bun for the sandwich worked well, but I was particularly impressed with how the sandwich seemed to have a perfect ratio of peppers to steak. The curly fries were also solid, having the right amount of crispness.
I plan on returning again when I’m in the area.
