Its supposed to have some kind of classy diner vibe, with its paper table covers. I dont know how to feel honestly. It was giving short staffed one lady behind the counter that really never left behind the counter, and didnt say anything to me when we made eye contact when I came in. A nice waiter that took my order, got my drink, and food. One busser that appear randomly much later. My cafe mocha was the saddest cafe mocha ever and watered down in a cup still having obviously having lip stick from the last person. I did not feel comfortable asking for a new cup. My breakfast burrito was not bad but not good, honestly for $16 I thought it was cheap, now I know why. The salsa, I saw it and dipped my finger and went nope tastes like it was not made with love. Canned salsa? I chugged my drink, got through half my burrito and got out of there. Honestly dont understand the appeal. Some people may find it nice, but at this point the word that comes to mind is sterile. Maybe even overrated. I could not in good conscious recommend coming here.

During our visit, we noticed a clear difference in how guests were acknowledged and spoken to. Customers of an older age group and a certain demographic were greeted warmly and assisted in a friendly, attentive manner, while our interaction felt dismissive and lacked basic courtesy, including a simple greeting.

Consistency in tone and professionalism matters in any service setting. I hope management reviews this experience and ensures all guests are treated with the same level of respect and attentiveness.

Service aside, the food was okay.

Wonderful spot for breakfast. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Our second trip in, I asked for French toast on sourdough bread and it was so delicious! Sausage is the best I’ve had, plump and juicy! Coffee is very good!

We accidentally stumbled upon the small cafe because they had outdoor seating so we could bring our dogs. What a happy surprise! The staff were all so nice and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Fluffiest pancakes ever! The corn beef hash was sooo good. So happy to have found this cozy little local spot!

Took my son here on a Saturday morning for some late breakfast. Since the inside tables were taken, we waited at the register to be seated. A booth right next to the register opened up and a server asked if we wanted it. Since it was cold out, I said yes, but then a different server told the first one they were saving it for parties of three or more. We were then offered an outside table with no mention of what just happened. It wasn’t a huge deal since we had jackets, but it felt a bit awkward.

Once outside, we waited about 10 minutes before a server came out. I decided to order our drinks, food, and the check all at once since I didn’t want to keep chasing someone down.

The food and latte were okay, though the hollandaise sauce had too much lemon. Also (and this might be on me for not asking), the chocolate chip pancakes for my son were just a couple of chips plopped on top. The coffee was alright.

I did have to ask several people for my check before finally getting it. Even though I never made a deal about the service, our server kept apologizing. I’m assuming they were just short-staffed.

If I lived hyper-local, I might go back, but I don’t plan on returning when there are so many other good places in Belmont Shore and Seal Beach. I don’t regret trying it, but the whole experience just felt a little “off.”

Stopped by for a late breakfast and had a solid experience overall. We ordered the Corned Beef Hash N’ Eggs, ABC Omelet, The Club, Biggie Small Burger, and a Michelada. The corned beef hash, ABC omelet, and the Biggie Small Burger were the standouts for me — straightforward, good flavor, and portioned well. The place has a laid-back neighborhood feel. Staff was friendly without being over the top, and food came out at a good pace even though it was pretty busy. Seating is tight since the café is on the smaller side, but it works for what it is. If you’re around the area and want an easy breakfast or lunch without anything too fussy, this is a solid option. I’d go back for those few dishes alone.

Small restaurant that serves the neighborhood. The waiter mixed up the order but was pleasant about changing it to correct one. They didn’t offer discount or side dish though. The service was neither good nor bad. Parking on site that is shared with other restaurants. One restroom. No gluten free options but people can order dishes that are usually gluten free. Average price. Indoor and outdoor seating.

It was our first time at this cafe. The cafe was under staffed today and full of people. But we decided to wait anyway. Understandably we knew that it was a going to be a while. We waited about 40min until we got a table for 2. We were of course greeted and right away ordered our drinks. We patiently waited and eventually had our food ordered and just took in the ambience and vibe. I could see the servers were very attentive to other customers and the hostess was pitching in cleaning and setting tables. I could see the team effort. Our table had a little basket with creamers and sugars and Crayons! The “table cloth” was actually a large white piece of paper, so I took the opportunity to doodle while we waited for our food. Eventually we got our food, and it looked great. The portions were large and perfect, and the taste was even better. It made the waiting worth it. I’ll definitely come back.

I was welcomed very warmly when I entered this establishment and the staff was very polite and attentive. I ordered a latte with almond milk and it was pretty good. The farmers omelet I ordered was amazing, but the hash browns were kind of dry and really bland. I would give a five star but everything was only okay and the cleanliness wasn’t what I expect when eating out. If I’m in the area there is a good chance I would try this place again.
