Really cool looking place, we were excited to check it out on our one night in Duluth. Upon walking in, the bartender did not acknowledge us, which is fine, but the moment we sat down he immediately asked what we wanted. Not offering a hello, this is what we have, etc. I felt like he didn’t want us there. It’s unfortunate too because the place is very cool looking and they have a lot of great spirits, whisky’s and scotches. Maybe check them out on a weekend, or become a regular (he seemed to favor regulars).

Before going in here, realize that this isn’t a high end restaurant. It’s an old school Irish Pub. Their bartenders are friendly and happy to answer any questions. They have a few home brewed beers that are great to try out. Very cozy place. Fun to go to and have a pint and a bump with some friends. Cheers.

This place was a lifesaver. After 4 hours on the road and another 6 of walking canal park, it was the perfect resting spot that wasn’t the hotel bar. Staff was fun and accommodating and their was a weird (good!) mix of fellow customers taking in the small bar vibe.

I was just trying to grab a quick drink when I stumbled upon this spot. I gave their Irish red ale a shot, and honestly, it was a solid 10/10! Plus, there was an awesome band playing that I’d also rate a 10/10.

Loved it. Excellent server. Phenomenal Scotch eggs. Better than anything we’ve eaten before, and we make them at home. The cook stopped by and gave us some tips. The Reuben was wonderful, too. A nice destination for a downtown stroll.

Bar is great only leaving 3 stars because the one blonde bartender needs to learn her beer prices. Hamm’s are $3 from everyone else and she always tries to charge me $5. I’m not penny pinching just want the price point to stay where it’s at and not change because someone else is working

We stopped into Carmodys Irish Pub across from the Sheraton hotel on Superior Street in downtown Duluth. Derrick the bartender was attentive and so helpful and friendly and the chef Keith has been there a short month. We were there on a Wednesday night after 5:00. They have a limited menu during the week, but nothing short of outstanding! There was chicken, collard greens, garlic mashed potatoes with a cornbread muffins as one offering. I can say this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while!! I know that when people get familiar with his food it will be standing room only!!! If you want a true foodie experience this is something not to miss! Please check this place out as you will not be disappointed. Run to Carmodys Irish Pub on Superior Street in Duluth. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!
