Ok… this place is AMAZING. My kids and I were skeptical walking in, but so glad we did. They had the Cuban sandwich and I ordered the daily special (beef stew). WOW… the food was sooo good even my 3yr old ate. Price was extremely reasonable. Service was quick and the lady at the front was super nice.
Bathroom and dining area was clean too.

Ok it shares the building with a gas station so it ain’t fine dining BUT the cuban sandwich is seriously good! Served with a dollop of macaroni salad. Order at the counter from the nice lady. You can walk there from the aquarium so keep your parking there or choose cheaper parking over there.

Got the steak and cheese sandwich (with onions, peppers and mushrooms) with macaroni salad on the side. Every bite was full of flavor. It was quiet when we ate but I did see she had an event that was happening so I assume it gets more lively throughout the day. Will definitely be coming back.

I think all the old reviews were for a previous owner or something… it used to be called Zelda’s but now it’s Channelside Cafe. We were pretty taken aback because we had high hopes based on the reviews, but we definitely did not have a great experience. The waitress was very nice but the only one working and seemed overwhelmed and was forgetful. The omelette was definitely not an omelette, it was scrambled eggs with the correct ingredients, but it was decent. Our toast never arrived and I had to ask twice for a cup of water. The fruit flies all over the place were pretty gross too. Overall I would say skip this place, the food was okay but we were not impressed at all.

The atmosphere was welcoming on a Sunday. Most places are closed on Sunday early but this spot wasn’t. They have inside and outside. Regulars come there often. I came right after debarking from my cruise and walked right up there from the port. The place is clean with AC and the food is outstanding. They put love into it. They have these beautiful umbrellas on the ceiling as decor. I will definitely come back when I visit Tampa again. Customer service was everything

Love this place! Git lunch here twice so far and both times it was great, very tasty yet super simple. Feels like home-cooked comfort food. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and then the chicken Caesar wrap with macaroni salad. All yum!

I used to love going to Zelda’s, but then I thought they closed down. Turns out, they are just under new ownership, but have the same chef. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. I got the barbecue ribs, macaroni and cheese and mixed vegetables. The slab of ribs was as wide as the to go container. The macaroni and cheese was good. The mixed vegetables (cabbage and carrots) were soft and buttery. Everything was excellent. I would recommend calling before you go to see what entrées are available. Often, the offerings change.

Zelda’s is the true definition of a place that’s a “hole in the wall.” Attached to a gas station, it certainly isn’t fancy or trendy… just a quick and inexpensive breakfast stop. But it’s one of those places that you’ll start to love if you go there a few times. The best surprise was that their breakfast sandwich is the best in the neighborhood. Don’t sleep on the deli sandwiches either.

Just the hole in the wall I’ve been looking for! Don’t go if you want an upscale, fancy or even super clean environment. Go, if you want homemade, tasty food-breakfast in a laid back environment. I absolutely loved the rye toast. Someone who knows what “buttered “ toast is. It is worth the drive for me. A little suggestion to the venue.. umbrellas or some sort of shade for the outdoor diners. The sun gets hot here in Florida.

Life saver.. across the street from the Margaritaville ship parking lot. No one knows as we asked if a place to eat nearby. I was told the closest was 5 miles.
I was headed to the gas station to get snacks when I saw this restaurant right beside the gas station and it was opened.
