We really enjoyed our experience, place was clean, good ambiance, excellent customer service well trained staff and good choices of wine. I was only disappointed was amount of food as per price changed, they are using appetizers plates for entrée, but entrée was delicious and so were appetizers.

Casual but full of life – this place was hopping both Friday and Saturday evenings (and yes, I know that because we went twice) – first night was just for drinks they have a good martini list with some inventive concoctions – I had a variation on the bees knees and my husband opted for the espresso martini (his go to) both were well-balanced and went down way too easy! They have a pretty great whisky list too for being a wine bar with whisky flights if you are looking to try a few.

Fries were good but the real stars were the entrees which we went back for on Saturday – delicious crab cakes – not a spot of filler did I find – and the chicken pot pie was nice and peppery and flavorful!

Food and drinks were really very good, but the service honestly was even better – for one, they remembered us the second night and despite being extremely busy everyone was very attentive – I think it’s a place where you feel like you belong – which is not always easy to find ❤️ highly recommend for a nice, chill or even slightly romantic night out!

Stopped in for a drink before dinner, and discovered a delicious entree steak dinner and dessert! The owner who runs a great restaurant was attentive and sweet and was able to squeeze our party of five for dinner without a reservation! Outstanding service from the waitress too! The spicy margaritas and beer were great too! Pleasant atmosphere and Occuquan was so festive this holiday season!

Drink: lolea red sangria special $9- straight from Spain! It was delicious. Worth it! I should have got the bottle. $28. This establishment knows wine and cocktails! The temps on every drink, even the water, was perfectly chilled. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 5/5

Partner’s drink: dirty vodka martini w blue cheese olives 4/5⭐️, just the right amount of vermouth
Partner’s food: New York happy meal special $19 (martini and truffle fries) delicious! Fresh and crispy. 5/5 ⭐️

Food: lamb ragu w “fresh tagliatelle”. 3/5 pasta tastes frozen, not fresh.

Dessert: boozy affogato 4/5. The chocolate chunks were a plus!

Atmosphere: quaint, upper class, clean, overall good.
Service: slightly slow but bartender was busy, seemed distant/standoffish

This place was pretty good the first couple times we went (couple years ago), but the last few times the service has been abhorrent. It’s like they’re chronically understaffed. I should mention, we only ever sit at the bar, we’ve never sat in the dining room. Usually that gets you more attentive service, but not here. They need to have more than one bartender – one for the people actually at the bar, and one for the service bar. I also expect to be acknowledged when I sit down, if only to say “I’ll be with you in a moment”. Instead what usually happens is the bartender continues making drinks coming in from the dining room while (seemingly) deliberately refusing to make eye contact while I sit there without a menu or a water glass.

In addition, don’t order liquor here – the pours are incredibly stingy. Some of the wine is priced okay, some of it is over-priced because the locals will pay it. The food is usually decent, but I can’t keep putting up with service that bad just because the food is “okay” – there are better places to go and it’s okay to skip this one.

I discovered this hidden gem early spring with my boyfriend and I live in the area. It’s quaint and the ambience inside gives you that nice and bougie feel! Bottle Stop is an establishment that is so inviting that you just want to just chill for hours. Okay, the wine and whiskey collection is exceptional. Let’s talk about the food…so so good!!! From the presentation to every bite, it’s like an experience happening in your mouth. I brought my girlfriends here for a birthday dinner and they also fell in love. This place is such a vibe, special and anything you order, you are not disappointed. You know something is good when the entire table is silent because they are having a moment with the food or talking about the food. That is Bottle Stop!

Cute spot! The service is nice and the restaurant itself is clean and great to look around. The drinks are delicious. The food needs a little more flavor, especially for the price they advertise. But the salmon appetizer is delectable; I loved it. A very creative menu though! Thank you for making the Columbian Moscow Mule and providing the leftover ginger beer! One of the most tastiest I’ve had.

This was a great local place to try. I was impressed with their whiskey flight and wine selection. The bacon dates were okay, I would have omitted the chorizo though. The brussel sprouts were good, though I don’t know that I would describe them as being crispy, but flavorful enough to finish. The samosas were delicious and very crisp, as were the yuca fries. The chimichurri for the steak frites tasted more like pesto and not so much like chimichurri. The desserts were delicious, even if the brownie tasted a little burnt on the bottom. The salmon croquettes weren’t quite what I expected. They were small balls of mostly fried crust with a little bit of salmon inside. The butterscotch bourbon nut tart was delicious, but is definitely a shareable size or eat now and take the rest home later. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and was patient enough to put up with our jokes. I’m very glad we came to try this place and would consider coming back.

Bottle Stop is a must if you are visiting Occoquan! The service never ceases to exceed my expectations. The service provided by the waitress, owner, and the staff that brought just our wine this past time were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I also brought my dog and she had a wonderful time sitting outside on the patio with us. The food and wine are all delectable! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit this hidden gem!
