A little gruff service but that’s part of the experience – all good! The subs are enormous and piled with ingredients (not shredded lettuce either).
I got a small steak bomb and would recommend this one – so much shaved steak and extra love with mushrooms, onions, peppers, and cheese. For $17 – this is a bargain and 2 meals worth.

I’ve been getting subs from Marc for forty years. I’m 60 now but lived in Haverhill most of my life where he started out with his father in a similar store. The subs haven’t changed in all that time. Was pleasantly surprised when I moved to Merrimack and discovered he opened his new store up here. Hands down best subs anywhere. Use to always get a large, lucky if I can finish a small these days. Highly recommend checking his store out but go hungry these things are massive.

I’m a regular customer at Marc’s Pizza & Subs…. whatever I order (unless I’m splitting a single-item order) will last me at least 2 meals, and everything I’ve had from Marc’s has been delicious! The servings are VERY generous (I can only eat half of one of Marc’s “small” subs in one sitting – the other half comes home for dinner that night or lunch the next day).
My go-to meal is the 10-piece butter garlic parmesan chicken tenders. They are ALWAYS amazing!!
The mozzarella sticks are very tasty as well. I ordered a giant pizza to share with coworkers – it fed 6 people and a couple of us were still able to take a couple slices home for later! The meatballs are HUGE and very filling in a very tasty sauce, too!
I always look forward to my weekly (most weeks) visit to Marc’s! The folks who run the place are hard-working, friendly, and great to chit-chat with! Thanks for all the fantastic food and service! Love you two!! <3

I admit I was a little skeptical about paying $16 for a small steak and cheese but look at the photos! I could only eat half. Now I am wondering/concerned how big the large is. Will definitely go back for more!!

My 1st time coming after a local recommendation. Do you know the scene in National Treasure when Ben Gates found the treasure? That’s what it was like eating my sub. I ordered the ‘small’ Roman and had to ask the owner to confirm it was due to the size. The sub is huge, enough for two people, and is the best Italian sub I’ve ever had. I’ll return this weekend for the meatball sub because if The Roman is any indication, I’ll be eating it for two days and in a food coma for three.

The place is clean, and Marc is very friendly. The photos don’t do the subs justice. These things are monsters, and priced well.

His signature italian, the Roman, uses the correct toppings and is assembled correctly (bread, toppings, THEN meat and cheese), a very very rare thing to find from pizza shops.

These subs are bursting with toppings, a big guy can easily get two meals out of a large.

Marc’s is well worth travel time to pay him a visit! One of these days I’m going to have to force myself to stop ordering the subs and give the pizza a try; like the subs I’m sure it won’t disappoint!
