The mission of the Bay Leaf The mission of the Bay Leaf is to offer its patrons a unique twist on the traditional Indian favourites, complemented by a selection of familiar Canadian dishes. Chef Dilip believes that the best food is created by keeping it simple to highlight the basic exotic flavours. Using his varied experience, Dilip’s idea is to create dishes that please the eyes as well as the taste buds! Whether you’re staying at the Inn with your family, or you’re a world traveller, you’ll find something tempting on the Bay Leaf menu. Our goal is to make the club restaurant a local favourite, exciting both members and residents. We’re thrilled to be part of Fernie’s food scene and contribute to its lively dining vibe.

Today we visited Bayleaf Indian fusion restaurant in Fernie city and we randomly select this restaurant for dine-in. We decided to try some eminent indian starters. Specifically, their masala tea is typically Indian taste, the best tea I have ever drink in Canada. We tried Samosa chart, potato chart, vegetables fritters We really love the food. Eventually, the chef came to our table for feedback and he is very humble and polite. At end he offered complimentary desert as well. In nutshell, environment was awesome nice decorum solitude scenic view outside the window adding great ambiance to dine area. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting this city during your trip, wouldn’t be accomplished if you don’t try their food.

Delicious food, breathtaking views, and warm, welcoming service.
We started with the samosas, which were perfectly seasoned without being spicy — just how we like them! The flavor came through beautifully in the blend of spices.
The true standout? The Nepali Jhol Momos. Absolutely incredible — a must-try!
Chef Tam and his team were incredibly kind and attentive. We had a lovely chat, and his Spanish was impressive!
Make sure to grab a spot on the patio — the view makes the experience even better.
The staff are very accommodating with spice levels, so don’t hesitate to let them know your preference.

Amazing Nepalese & Indian cuisine. We were a group of 10 from all different areas including NYC and LA with very discerning tastes and it was a universal hands down rave review. Had lunch/dinner here for the first time while visiting Fernie, and I’m so glad I did. Bayleaf Indian Fusion is in a beautiful spot—right by the golf course with stunning mountain views from the patio. Honestly, the setting alone is worth a visit.
Service was excellent. I was helped by two lovely servers—Hannah and another girl whose name I unfortunately forgot, but both were friendly, attentive, and made me feel really welcome. I asked for a non-alcoholic drink recommendation, and they suggested a coconut margarita (made alcohol-free). It was spot on—refreshing and delicious.
The food was solid, but paired with the view and the overall vibe, the whole experience felt special. Highly recommend if you’re in Fernie and looking for a place to relax, eat well, and enjoy some amazing scenery.

Our May Long Weekend trip to Fernie always by tradition has presented us with some rain/snow. As much as we prepare for camp food, the convenience of staying at the Fernie RV Resort is also being closer to other amenities. So, when you’re still not full on the game, well prepared for the first camping season kick off, this is less stressful knowing that we have options available if needed.
Today has been non stop rain all day. We feel lazy, spending indoor times playing games, watching movies inside the yurt.
We decided to check out Bayleaf restaurant because of the proximity and it’s great reviews.
We were not disappointed.
They let us try their chilli Momos as a complimentary sampler and we ended up ordering it for the main.
They are part of the Golf Country Club. The view was expect sculpture. Staffs were welcoming and friendly.
Mango Lassi, masala chai were hit.
Nepalese Thali was delicious with variety of lamb, chicken curry and daal.
Since they are a fusion restaurant, one of our kids ordered poutine and said it was one of the best! Butter chicken with rice from the kids menu came with generous portions for $9.00
Overall, very reasonably priced for what we ate. Added to our favourite place in Fernie!

Fantastic dinner! Food was absolutely amazing. Service was perfect. Linden (sp??) is the best waitress I’ve had in many years. She has such a contagious smile and bubbly personality. She cares about her customers and enjoys what she does. Thank you for making our date night so wonderful.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant while visiting from Calgary, and we were thoroughly impressed!
The food was absolutely awesome. We tried the Chilli Chicken, Momos, Chicken Tikka, and Naan. Everything was delicious and full of flavour. The Chicken Tikka was a bit on the sweeter side for our personal taste, but it was still very good.
What really set this place apart was the incredible service. As fellow restaurant industry workers, we especially appreciate when a kitchen takes care of special requests. They happily added extra onions to our order at no charge.
To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary Rice Pudding. That personal touch and generosity is what earns lifelong customers. It was top-notch and truly the feather on the cap of a great meal.
We strongly recommend this place! Great job to the entire team – keep up the fantastic work
