Disgusting, dirty place – just look around- windows – doors have they ever been washed ? food nothing special .. egg rolls were dripping with oil running out . condiments very cheap – no traditional hot mustard. Wonton soup burnt broth & blan – paper thin plastic spoons than couldn’t take the heat of the soup . Napkins thin as toliet paper …. We were told we could eat in – arrived to get our food & they had no plates ( paper etc ) & would not give us water . Let alone offer a beverage. Basically got the money first & after that no love or appreciation.. Hands down Everything was a let down – would not recommend this joint to anyone. With the Fong name what a slap in the face to great Minnesota legend David Fong & Family

My family and I have gotten Yu Fong since they opened up. They were the best Chinese place around. Sadly, the ma and pa duo that used to run the restaurant retired (good for them!) and the quality has not been the same and, in fact, gone downhill.

After reading recent reviews I was a bit hesitant to try this place – but what most had in common were that they were disappointed it’s not the same food as with previous owners. I was staying at a nearby hotel for business, so gave them a try and I’m glad I did.
The food overall was good, not perfect but much better than other fast food or quick Chinese restraunts. The worke was helpful in making my selections. The sesame chicken seemed a bit overcooked and over oiled but the sauce was good. The beef and broccoli also had a good amount of both broccoli and beef, which other places usually leave it lacking in one or the other. I really did like the bamboo shoots in it. And the beef Lo Mein was my least favorite with the beef being a bit dried out but I still enjoyed it – and would 100% order again without a protein instead. The white rice that comes with the entrees was basic but good and what is expected. I under estimated the amount of food I was going to get, so have eaten it for 4 meals and still have leftovers – it is also heating up well.

The food is disgusting. I ordered a hot and sour soup and it tasted like black pepper cream; it was missing a lot of vegetables. I tasted it and left it on the table. The Mongolian plate was tasteless and had no salt. First and last time I will eat here. The place is very dirty. They have two tables, but I think they’re just for decoration since they gave us a takeout order.

I placed an order for delivery using their preferred method (Postmates?) The order was ready in about fifteen minutes and a driver was on the way. After an hour and a half and four different delivery people being assigned my order, I got a message that the order was cancelled. I had tried to call the restaurant to do just that, but it went to voicemail saying they were closed.
In short, the delivery issues were not their fault, but their unwillingness to answer the phone, and no working option to contact them on the website, makes them equally at fault. Too bad. This place used to be good.

Through some growing pains of new ownership, this remains the best Chinese takeout option in Maple Grove, no contest. The fried rice is Thai style, and delicious! Sesame chicken is different than anywhere else, crispy and sweet but also a bit of heat. Cream cheese wontons and egg rolls have been just okay, but everything else has been great. We still love Yu Fong! The new owners have made a real effort to connect with their customers and we see that and appreciate it!

Used to be our go to for Chinese takeout. Apparently we have to find a new “go to”.
I would tell you about my experience, but the last 5 times we attempted to order, they were closed or closing early due to weather (it wasn’t that bad), or the classic, we had a “big lunch rush” and are closing early. They are the owners and it’s their choice, but if I can’t actually order, it’s hard to review.
In the past, when we could actually get an order placed, the food was ok. Some growing pains after the ownership change, but it was getting better. Avoid the cream cheese wontons as there is little to no cream cheese in them.

Tried Yu Fong for the first time tonight, and it was incredible! We ordered sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, shrimp fried rice, and pork egg rolls. Our favorite dish was the sesame chicken! It was light, airy, fresh and extremely crispy!! We decided to order the quart size in our entrees, and it was definitely enough to feed 4 adults. If you’re looking for great takeout, give them a try and I’m certain you will not regret it.

First time visitor for lunch. Fried rice was good but my cashew chicken HAD NO CASHEWS. How did the gal forget the cashews? We were the only customers.

I was really disappointed with this place, especially the chicken lo mein. The noodles weren’t the normal lo mein–style noodles at all and were overcooked and mushy. The chicken was dry and bland with barely any seasoning, and the sauce lacked flavor, tasting more like watered-down soy sauce than a proper lo mein. Overall, the dish felt rushed and poorly executed. If a restaurant can’t get chicken lo mein right, it’s hard to trust anything else on the menu
