One of our favorite places in the Elmwood area to go. Byblos is a must try for all in this area.
We started with the regular hummus and their always fresh pita bread. 10/10
We split the Beef Shawarma and the kitchen even separated it into the two plates for us as the server told them we were sharing the entree. Their Fattoush Salad is always fresh and an incredible side item for any eating healthier. The steak was seasoned to perfection and is my favorite protein to get from this location.
Service here is excellent always.

Went there with my wife and sister for an early dinner. The baba ganoush was very tasty and flavorful with a great presentation. My wife had the brussel sprouts which had a wonderful sauce over them and we’re cooked to perfection!
I ordered the skirt steak and was a bit dismayed about how thin the pieces were and that they were cooked well done.
My sister ordered the tenderloin kebabs. The larger pieces were beautifully medium rare, tasty tender and full of flavor. However about half of the pieces were much smaller, well done and inedible.

Was in the mood for a burger, so that’s what I got. It was as good as any normal burger, but nothing to write home about. The flatbread was exceptional and it was enough to make a meal on its own. Hummus was good, too.

A friend of mine and I took a couple of friends to dinner at the Elmwood location. The food is normally excellent; last night not so much. Not bad but definitely below what we normally experience. The hummus, which we usually love, was almost soupy – it literally spread over almost half the plate. It tasted okay, but just a bit “off” and way too thin. The chicken shawarma was dry (and it’s normally very juicy) and the beef shawarma lacked the flavor it normally has, and there was much less of it, especially for a $26 entree. That being said, the service was excellent and the place was very clean with a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back, so hopefully the food quality goes back to what it was.

I don’t even know where to start with trying to explain how good this place is. The amount of times that I passed this place and never thought to stop in, I now regret. LOL. The atmosphere, the food, the service, the owner, EVERYTHING about this place is 5 stars!!! Hubbs and I had another date night here and Tarek, the owner, remembered us and I thought that was so personable. I hands down reccomend the steak kabobs. They literally melt in your mouth, no I’m serious. M E L T S in your mouth with each bite better than the last. And if you are a lover of key lime pie, theirs is a MUST TRY. It’s made fresh in house, actually all of their desserts are with the exception of the baklava. That key lime pie though, man that’s something special. The salad is soooo fresh and if you are a lover of garlic and ranch. Their garlic buttermilk sauce is to die for. JUST COME TRY IT. You won’t be dissapointed. There are happy hour drink specials, thirsty Thursday specials and bar bites as well. It’s a great place overall!

This is the most upscale and newest of the Byblos restaurants. For quite awhile after they opened in Elmwood I was really happy with the food and service here. They were doing a lot of unique things here and the food really was quite a step up from the other Byblos locations to the degree that there was zero resemblance. I really enjoyed everything I ate here and while it was more expensive than the other Byblos locations it was of better quality. Unfortunately something has changed as the quality seems to have dropped, the menu has changed and service has really deteriorated. They have a pizza type oven like Shaya and Saba have and they were putting out a similar type bread to those establishments but on my last visit I just got generic pita bread. The experience used to rate a higher price but now things have really declined and the juice is no longer worth the squeeze. I hope my last visit was just an anomaly but I’ve heard from multiple people that the standard has dropped and the generic pita is the new usual. This was a four star joint and one of the top Middle Eastern joints in the area but sadly that no longer seems to be the case.

We arrived Sunday evening with a party of 5 for a late dinner and we were greeted at our table by Tomi. She was very friendly, attentive and quickly took our orders. The drinks and appetizers arrived quickly and the dinner orders followed shortly thereafter. Tomi kept our glasses full and quickly addressed any requests or concerns. The food was delicious and the portions were nice. Tomi made our experience at Byblos enjoyable.
We highly recommend Byblos in Elmwood and will certainly stop in again.
Thank you Tomi and thank you Byblos/Elmwood.

Byblos in Metairie serves up Mediterranean goodness with a side of swagger. The corn bisque is silky, sweet, and so comforting it should come with a blanket. The smoked salmon flatbread? Crispy, smoky, and the kind of snack you “accidentally” eat all by yourself. And the Tabbouleh salad? Fresh, vibrant, and just healthy enough to make you feel responsible. If flavor had a passport, Byblos would be stamping it nonstop.
Byblos in Harahan, LA, is a hidden gem for liquor enthusiasts, boasting an impressive selection that spans from popular vodkas and tequilas to rare and hard-to-find bourbons and whiskeys. Whether you’re seeking a smooth vodka, a robust tequila, or a unique bourbon, Byblos offers a diverse range to satisfy any palate. Their curated collection caters to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs, making it a must-visit destination for those looking to explore a wide array of spirits.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times. The food always tastes delicious! All of my dine in experiences have been very pleasant.
However, all of my takeout experiences have been not as great. Tonight was my third attempt and I was disappointed. I will no longer order food from here for takeout… The food tonight was still very tasty. I just don’t think the amount was proportionate to cost. Usually when I dine in I have leftovers.

I love anything Mediterranean, but unfortunately Byblos will not be added to that list. I was so excited when this restaurant recently opened in the Elmwood Shopping Center. The restaurant is beautiful and the menu looked promising. My party of 2 visited for dinner and the hostess was weird. We asked about sitting outside and she said we couldn’t. The other hostess then said we could. It was very awkward, so we just sat inside. I started with the Pepper Pineapple Margarita. It wasn’t good and tasted like a glass of pineapple juice. The Beef Shawarma Wrap was bland and the beef was of terrible quality. I could barely chew it. The other guest had the Beef and Chicken Kabobs. It was odd the the meat wasn’t on sticks, so not sure what kind of kabobs those were. Again, the quality of the meat was terrible and could not be chewed. We had the Feta Cheese Fingers as an appetizer and they were really good. With that said, the appetizer menu actually looks good, so I would return and just try the appetizers.
