What can I say… this is genuinely one of the best pizza places I’ve ever been to in my life, and it’s right here in Troy, New York. It hits with those classic New York City and New Haven flavors, but there’s also something different and special going on that sets it apart.
I don’t have a single complaint about any of the pizzas I’ve had. Honestly, this is the best pizza you’re going to find within hours of this place. If you love pizza, you owe it to yourself to try it.
They’re only open two days a week right now, but once word really gets out, I can easily see that changing.

Mishel and Alex are the nicest people in the world but they also make incredible pizza and are so incredibly accommodating! My husband and I stopped in on their first Friday night and they were doing online orders ahead for full pies and we didn’t know but they were so kind and welcoming and squeezed us in. We got a plain and their seasonal which was a potato bacon scallion and both were LITERALLY the best pizza either of us have ever had and we’ve eaten a lot of good pizza but this pizza doesn’t even come close. Selfishly I didn’t want to leave a review because I want to keep this place to myself but I also love supporting a small local business and I hope they’re around forever.

Best take out pizza we’ve had in the area! Delicious and plentiful toppings. Can’t wait to get back and try other pizzas!

Have stopped by 2x so far and definitely will return. For being newer in the area I was genuinely shocked by the quality of the pizza. Has that crisp I wanted while also having a great chew. Would recommend getting there around opening or ordering a full pie if you want to try the cheese or tomato, they sell out pretty fast. The staff are super friendly and the place overall has a great vibe to it.

Behold! The finest pizza in the Capital District! This is next level pizza – WAY better than Romo in Glenmont or Di Fazio’s in Troy (only the much lamented Pizzeria Michelina in Albany could come close). As with any fine pizza, the secret is in the dough, and the high hydration sourdough crust is absolutely divine. I like the fact that it’s a work in progress and subtly changes from week to week – but every week produces consistently delicious and creative pies with often unexpected flavor combinations and ingredients. Many toppings are sourced locally and are prepared in-house (their fennel sausage is so good, I’d buy it from them in bulk if I could). Seasonal availability drives what’s on the pizzas on any given week.
The folks who own the place are very pleasant to chat with, and they obviously have a passion for their business. It’s a small spot with some counter seating, so there’s plenty of take-out traffic. The Zu (Omen?) audiophile loudspeakers are a nice touch as well (though I do worry about some little kid getting their pokey fingers on them).
They are going to get very popular, soon. For now it’s, “If you know, you know”. Regardless, I will gladly wait in line for this pizza.

Hands down, the best pizza in Troy, and better than Romo’s/Anthony’s. If you appreciate the Apizza spots in NH and the coal oven spots in Manhatten and NJ than you’ll love this pizza. Gourmet dough you want to eat until the last bite, cooked perfectly with the right amount of char on the edges, a beautiful leopard patterned undercarriage paired with the freshest ingredients makes this pizza place a must go to. An easy Portnoy 8 or higher, don’t let the limited hours deter you, it’s worth it!

THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT – FULL STOP! If you’re looking for a great slice or pie, Pizzeria Mari is the place to go. Flavorful, perfectly crispy crust and a perfect array of toppings. They have the bases covered from basic pie to fun seasonal flavors, and working with local farms to execute the seasonal toppings is such a plus. The Pep & Pep is a definite favorite for me and friends, and the Fennel Pie is next level – creamy, salty and the perfect lift from pickled fennel and fennel pollen, all with their house made sausage. Incredible! Give it a try ASAP!

We stumbled upon this amazing pizza spot while grabbing coffee around the corner! It’s open from 11 a.m. until it’s all gone, and we got as many slices as our bellies could handle for lunch. Seriously, every pizza was a masterpiece, and no matter what you picked. When it comes to pizza, “it is always delicious when it is freshly made”.

Very cute and quaint little pizza shop! I got the white slice and plain slice and both were delicious, the plain was my favorite and I’d definitely come back and order a whole pie of that. The lovely woman also so kindly gave me an extra slice which I didn’t notice until I got home, very sweet of her and unexpected! The pizza has a really nice thin and crispy crust on the bottom, not soggy at all and not overly greasy. The white pizza has pieces of roasted garlic cloves which melt in your mouth, and the plain pizza has the perfect amount of sweetness from the sauce and saltiness from the cheese. Really glad I came and tried it out as it’s now my favorite pizza that I’ve tried in the area, highly recommend!
