I don’t know why this pho restaurant had some bad review, i got nothing but good words to say about this place. It’s my 2nd visit and as usual the service is fast and they are very attentive of your needs. My fiance and I ordered house special pho and when it came out it was piping hot (which we love), the broth was so flavorful, serving was huge and worth the money. Also ordered some BBQ pork Banh mi and it was super good as well. Definitely will recommend this place to my friends and family. They gave us free dessert as well.

This seems like a new restaurant. The interior decorations look very new. The staff was extremely friendly and the portion of food I got for the price was more than worth it. Try the duck fried rice plate, it’s quite delicious!

Just checked out the new Vietnamese spot in town, and I’m all in! The food is delicious definitely some of the best pho I’ve had. The place is super clean, which I love, and the service is top friendly staff that really make you feel welcome. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

Nothing beats eating pho after work!! My server, Vinny was so nice and caring. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and it came out hot a crispy. Bon bo hue and pho were just as amazing with rich flavor! The vibe of the place is also great, the tvs help with my adhd :)) Would come back soon!!!

Best Pho overall. As a round eye from a very Vietnamese area, the food/experience didn’t seem very authentic, but was still amazingly good. The quality of the pho and spring roll ingredients was excellent except for the rare beef pho (pho tai). The beef wasn’t great and didn’t come raw to cook in the soup as expected.
While I recommend this place as-is, IMO the decor could be better. White walls with token decorations is fine, but cultural paintings or a mural would really add to the experience.
Finally, my compliments to the cook staff! Excellent food! We will be back.

I’m really glad we stopped here for Pho! We were supposed to go to Pho 999 but they were closed. I didn’t even realize it was the old location of Pho 999, haha.
I had the Bun Rieu and my partner had the Steak and Brisket Pho. I was so surprised they had Bun Rieu. It’s one of my favorite Vietnamese noodle soups and it really hit the spot for me. The pho was also very delicious but the broth is a bit on the lighter side. The bowls were soo huge so you really get your money’s worth. Service was also great!
If you come here, please do try the traditional Vietnamese dishes and the Pho!

Ate here twice on my visit to UNR and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Lots of options to choose from. Spoke to the owner and he recommended me off menu item like the fried tilapia, since it was seasonal and it was fantastic and I love fish. Can’t wait to come back.

Never written a review but our experience here was unreal. Came here with a group of 6, took over 15 mins for them to come take our order, then another 20-30 mins for food to even start coming out. Even with 3 dishes served they did not give us any utensils, we had to ask for them. One of the dishes(beef and rice) was completely cold. My boyfriend and I both ordered the brisket and steak pho, mine came completely yellow. I was super confused why mine looked so different from my boyfriends. We start eating and he realized he got served the house pho instead of the brisket and steak. He lets the waitress know and she brings him a new bowl, which he only later realized only had steak. They don’t even have a steak alone pho? I realized the yellow in mine was a THICK layer of straight oil covering the entire bowl. After scooping out spoon after spoon after spoon of oil, it was still swimming in oil. We also had to ask for the pho add ins. They also forgot our thai tea until we had to remind them, and they brought it after we were all nearly done eating. We decided to say something once we got the bill and 15% gratuity was already included. The service was bad and the food was bad and we have to pay a fat tip? After we said something, they gave us a 10% discount. Doesn’t even cover the mandatory tip. Insane. Keep in mind we were extremely nice and respectful the entire time and were not trying to give them a hard time. I will say our second waitress was trying her best and juggling a lot of things so I don’t blame her, our first waitress was the one that forgot our utensils and took forever to take our order.

Great new restaurant replacing where the old 999 Pho used to be. The owner and chef of Golden Dragon is son of the original owners of Golden Flower before they sold it.
This Golden Dragon has some really delicious and good variety of dishes vs standard other Vietnamese restaurant. I think it ranks right up there for my top 2 Vietnamese restaurants in Reno.

Authentic Viet food! I come from Westminster, CA; and I can say the pho here is top tier. Banh xeo was delicious, nuoc mam was on point.
Popcorn chicken was also delicious!
