I really liked those place. The food is really delicious. I got ribs they were tender and tasty. The mac and cheese was really good idk what they put in it but its different then your typical mac and cheese. It’s unique and super good. My friend got brisket and she also loved it. It was an easy place to go to after a festival we went to. There wasn’t many people there that day but it was kind of nice because its small in there. There is outdoor seating but it was cold out. Service was also good.

I’m always surprised of how good the chicken is. The pulled chicken never needs seasoning. The seasoning in the chicken doesn’t require any sauce. The pull chicken is season 2 perfection and is tender and juicy. The smoked chicken is always tender each time I get it and I’m surprised of how good it is.
I’m a big fan of the brisket. I get it every time. I happen to be a fan of the Carolina sauce and love to use it with the brisket.
I always get the sampler platter and split it with my mother or my friend when I go.

This delightful, quant BBQ spot on South High St in Columbus is a gem.
As my hubby is newly disabled, I was concerned with getting him inside, but it’s accessible for wheelchairs. Not the easiest access, but doable.
The smell from outside to inside leaves you wanting to check this place out!
We ordered the ribs combo with Coleslaw, and corn bread. Also ordered the Brisket Sandwich with collard greens and corn bread.
The flavor of the meat didn’t need any sauce, but we grabbed the Gator and the Sweet Whiskey both of which were also yummy.
The ribs were smoked to perfection and although super thick, fell off the bone with a simple plastic fork. The burnt end brisket was a tad bit salty, but delicious and tender. I specifically asked for burnt ends, and he pulled out a fresh brisket…
The collard greens were super tender, and full of flavors – a hint of vinegar with the pork fat made for a super yum experience.
Will definitely be back soon!

First, I want to talk about how delicious the MAX and cheese was and the greens! I’ve been a lot of places, and you just don’t get them as delicious as they’re being served here. I could order pans of that and be satisfied for the holidays!

The staff were super friendly, the ambiance was giving cozy vibes. I met the chef and he was also very welcoming! We ordered a slab of ribs, a brisket sandwich, max and cheese, and greens. My brisket was very dry, and honestly, I probably went ever order it again. However everything else made up for the brisket! Ribs were tender, flavourful and the sides were 10/10! So after many recommendations I decided to try this place out. Never again. I order 1/2 of ribs, with sauce, I got dry and tough ribs. The Mac and cheese wasn’t even melted, cold and stuck together in one big chuck.

For the greens. It was absolutely disgusting. It looks like it was greens ans cabbage mixed. And the cabbage looking stuff has black spots all over it

The brisket needs no sauce with the smoked in flavor filled char, but the sauce options are tasty. The Mac and cheese was really good- not over salted or over spiced: great balance with different cheeses. We love the cheering and tea as well. Nice atmosphere with natural light.

Best Brisket and Mac & Cheese (Max ‘N Cheese) I’ve ever had! This place also just has a cool unique atmosphere. The chili and cornbread was also great. Just a chill low key spot but the food was amazing and you could tell they use some homemade recipes! Quick service and very welcoming. I would highly recommend to anyone that likes BBQ.

This place rightfully deserves a 4.7 with a thousand reviews, absolutely perfectly cooked meats, nothing was dry, every single side dish was cooked to perfection and was a delightful refresh to side dishes. If you get the sampler for 25 bucks, you’re basically feeding two people for 12.50 each, artisan meats and completely full. Pictures say a thousand words!

Passing through Columbus, OH. Smoked on High BBQ fit the bill. Well versed in BBQ… Texas, NC, St. Louis, Kansas, and on… this was a great spot if you are looking for tasty and tender BBQ. Would definitely return. Signage is deceiving bc it’s not clear on the road. But worth a second drive to find the place. Enjoy!

Had the pulled pork, “max ‘n cheese,” and spicy brisket chili.

I was not expecting to have them take the pork shoulder out and shred off the piece in front of me, but that was a good touch and it was very good. The optional sauces were all a little too sweet for me, but it’s probably a regional thing.

Mac ‘n cheese was good. Lots of cheese and creamy.

The unexpected winner was the spicy brisket chili. Great flavor and was spicy enough to taste like it just came out of a dragon. Really great. If I had a do-over, I’d just order a quart of that for the meal.
