Since 1985 I’ve been a big fan of Westfair Fish & Chips. Family owned and operated it is no suprise that this wonderful place, like no other, is still a main staple in the town of Westport. The success of this restaurant is a result of OUTSTANDING customer service and fresh “Ocean to plate seafood”.
Let’s not forget that a business “is only as good as the people it hires”. Currently there is another OUTSTANDING employee at the front counter answering phones, taking orders, packing and completing sales. Her name is Leyla.
First impressions begin when the phone is answered. Leyla was perfect. A breathe of fresh air. Attentive, patient and focused as well as over-the-top friendly which is very important to me. Always a pleasant experience and always a 4 star Michelin meal at Westfair Fish & Chips! Welcome Leyla may you have continued success always!

Best seafood hands down, I’ve taken a date (my wife) to damn near all the top notch “competitors” over the years and I can confidently say Westfair is in another league. The food is head and shoulders superior to anything in the tri-state area. The closest comparison I can make is the 1996 Basketball Olympic team. Just can’t be beaten.

I am originally from New Hampshire and grew up eating fried whole belly clams and other delicious fried seafood. I have not been able to find a good place in Norwalk, where I work, to get some fresh fried seafood. This place brought me right back to my childhood. The seafood was fresh, the breading was light, and the staff was beyond friendly. This is the place if you want fried seafood just make sure you bring cash. I highly recommend the whole belly clams in the fried shrimp. Oh, and don’t let me forget about the delicious onion rings.

I love finding small places like this that remind me of home. Delicious lobster roll with plenty of meat, appreciate the lobster to roll ratio. Good fries and a simple but tasty slaw. Would recommend!

Fantastic food. You could drive right by and not even know this place was there as it’s kind of set back from the road a bit. Once you’re in and have hopefully found a parking spot, you’ll enter the very unassuming seafood spot. They have a great base menu with specials written onto their blackboard right next to where you order. We tried a variety of dishes, clam strips, steamed little necks, a stuffed clam and crab cake. The food was as very fresh and delicious. The clam strips weren’t the little bits of clam you get served at a lot of other places but good meaty chunks and fried to perfection. You can tell the oil was at the perfect temperature and changed regularly as the strips weren’t greasy at all. The clams were delicious, as were the stuffed clam and crab cake, with a generous amount of meat in each. The prices were also very reasonable and the staff were very friendly. This is a place I look forward to returning to in the near future. A hidden gem.

This place is a diamond in the rough, a hidden gem. This mostly take out restaurant with a 6+ tables is excellent for fried seafood. My son and I started out with a cup of clam chowder that was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, it was so good that we order 2 quarts for take out… We both had fried shrimp plates, they were good size (NOT small) and cooked to perfection. The are in the back of 1781 E Post Road and they only take cash… IT WAS A GREAT MEAL!!!

This little restaurant is probably also specialized in take-away. The room is for 8-10 people. The dishes are all very tempting. Our Fish & Chips, Fried shrimp, the lobster roll and especially the steamed lobster dinner were just stunning delicious. Some time you should allow. It is just all made fresh on demand.

I love this place! Whole belly clams in a perfect light batter, onion rings are the best I’ve had, the oysters on the half shell are magnificent and great clam chowder. Awesome spot, will be back for more. Can’t wait! Thanks guys!

Reasonably priced fresh seafood well prepared.
Each fish, clam, shrimp, calimari that we had tasted very good. Tarter sauce had a nice dill flavor and coleslaw was well made though a small portion. Their soups taste very good but are a little sparse on the named ingredient. I’m not taking any stars though because again great taste and price.
The staff were friendly and this is obviously a favorite with the locals who were also friendly and praising the location.
