That la to Google, we ended up having a much needed steak dinner! Deborah was our waiter, she was sweet, friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience an unforgettable one. Tried fried frog legs for the time, and we’ll I’m hooked. Great quality for the cost! Will definitely come back!!

Delicious! The ambiance was great. Love that old world charm. They were a little unstaffed for a wed night but the food was worth it. Unstaffed bc ppl want their unemployment vs actually work for their income.
We got the jumbo shrimp cocktail and surf and turf. All was tasty. The need was cooked perfectly and it was a great cut of meat – melt in your mouth. The green beans were over cooked but the mashed potatoes made up for it.

Got so lucky! A cancelled/late reservation led to my wife and I getting a table as soon as we walked in thanks to Lilian. LuAnne rocked juggling bar tender duty and keeping our drinks full. I had the prime rib with two pints of Guinness and my wife had the mahi mahi special. We ended with the fresh made cheesecake. Truly excellent dining experience. Don’t come here I want this place all to myself!

here in Ormond Beach! We have been dining here for 10+ years. We always ask for Michelle. She’s been serving up laughs and great food for 21 years at Billys. I do suggest a reservation as it gets super busy. Their specialty is serving Mahi Mahi 27 different ways. The food is always delicious and the staff always greets you with a friendly smile. This is a definite must when you’re here visiting Ormond Beach.

Great place for steak and seafood. We started with an appetizer of the jumbo crab meat cocktail. Super fresh and delicious. Old fashioned drink was authentic and made correctly. I had the beef stroganoff and wife had a filet. Both were great. I tasted her filet and wished I had ordered one. Dessert was a coffee chocolate cake with a raspberry reduction. Very fresh.

Dinner was amazing. I had the 24oz cowboy blackened and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Whatever steak you choose add the blackened and you WON’T REGRET!!! Drinks were also on point. I recommend the Ol fashioned with Woodford reserve.

Been here once before with my gf and loved it, tonight celebrating my 21 yr old son’s Bday I now regret choosing this place. Service by Faith was less then stellar and at this time in the evening with not many tables she was very absent. I had to go to the bar to refresh my own cocktail as my server was incognito! To reiterate how inattentive our server was, the menus remained on our table throughout our ENTIRE visit, despite stacking our dirty dishes on them in hopes Faith would take them, but no luck. Dinner was mediocre tonight, had the special bourbon beef ribs upcharge for asparagus at the cost of $5 and that was a GREAT DISAPPOINMENT one of 6 spears we’re of good size the others were the thinnest I’ve ever seen and not appropriate for a restaurant of this stature!
The bread was “in the oven” upon arrival and never came out until much later and only after I had to inquire about it to my waitress, Faith. The breaded mushroom appetizer was meh although I was told it was very good, the frog legs were very good four to a serving and we enjoyed those. The salad was not as good as the previous visit. And the special beef ribs were actually in my opinion not worthy of the cost. Baked potato is awesome as last time but how hard is that to make. I’m embarrassed to have taken my son there after talking up this place to him. This will not be my first choice the next time I dine out for a quality meal and service.
I feel this bad experience could have been avoided had my last server, Patrick been working as he is SO attentive and pleasant and an amazing asset to this restaurant. Sadly I probably won’t be returning if this is the standard of service.

Wow! How have I been missing Billy’s Tap Room all these years! Hands down, the best French Onion Soup!! I loved the FO soup at the Black Ram Restaurant in Des Plaines, IL, but this is a whole new level!!
Update!!! Back in Daytona Beach for Thanksgiving week!! The “Billy’s Cut” Filet Mignon is as good a steak as I have eaten!! I have been to Ruth’s Chris, Smith and Wollensky, Morton’s, Palm, Mastro’s, Del Frisco’s and other high end Steak Houses. Billy’s Filet is as good as any I’ve had anywhere!

Very impressed. Came down to Ormond for the night and decided to make a reservation at Billy’s. The nostalgic old family run steakhouse is refreshing especially in the time of chain restaurants everywhere. The food was incredible. I’ve been to steakhouses in a lot of places including Texas, and it was possibly the best filet I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. Our service was great and very attentive. We’ll gladly make the trip down from Jacksonville again for that kind of quality!
