ordered ahead so i could pick it up on my lunch break. order placed and confirmed at 11:45, got to the diner at 12:02, and wasn’t handed my order until 12:20. this was one of the slowest services i’ve ever gotten at a diner. made me miss my whole lunch break for some mediocre food. tiny burrito for $15. got mostly hash browns. will not recommend this place to anyone nor come back. the lady helping me very hatefully told me that my order came after 6 people in the diner.. who were sat and eating already. do better.

Special today: Philly style cheese steak with crinkle fries/tater tots.
Sandwich had great hoagie bun that was firm yet soft and held steak juices without falling apart. Crinkle fries were lightly seasoned, yet tasty and just the right size for crispness without being mushy inside.
Sweet tea rounded out lunch very well and server was polite, attentive, and available for suggestions.
Will be back on next trip to this area.

Love this place! We eat here almost every Sunday, the food is good and the people are great! Highly recommend the Mel’s mess, their Chicken Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, Western Omelette, Patty Melt with Mushrooms…it’s all good!

There are signs all over the front door and counter yelling about various things the owners don’t allow you to do so it doesn’t come off as the most chill place.
The food was mediocre but the service was fine. My sister had some strangely colored toast that she didn’t finish. I don’t remember what I ordered but it was unremarkable.
The ceiling is painted with streaks of brown that look like it could be poop smears. We had fun making fun of the interior design, so there’s that. Probably won’t go back.

Really great place for home cooked flavors! I had the spanish omelet and german potatoes! Yum right. White gravy was a bit generic, similar to most restaurants these days. My mom had the catfish special (friday) and was just right for her. I took pics of the desserts which looked homemade. We tried a brownie ball. It was ok. We are more of pie people. We keep coming back for atmosphere and great service. Also cant wait to try the pizz
