We don’t have Del Taco in TN, so I have to stop whenever I drive near one. This trip did not disappoint. My All Beef Burrito was great, and the Fries were awesome. Can’t wait for my next trip.

As a former native Californian I am very disappointed with this branch of Del Taco (store #1511). The first time we visited this store we tried to order a “secret menu” item and was rudely answered that this was not available at this store. We decided to eat inside today instead of going through the drive thru….big mistake! We placed our order at 11:57am and received our order at 12:38. Totally unacceptable for a “fast food” restaurant! My husband had to go to the front counter and complain after 30 minutes of waiting! The person at the register told him they’re working on it now and then proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. I have NEVER had an experience like this at the numerous Del Taco restaurants that I have visited across the country. Do better, Huntsville!! I have posted pics of my “The Del” tacos that are $2 more than the tacos without tomatoes…ridiculous! In summary, I think the management needs to be revamped at this location.

The staff was friendly and were willing to customize a salad for my wife. She ended up getting a grilled chicken salad. I got their two tacos combo. The salad ingredients were fresh and the chick was very tender and tasty. My tacos had a surprisingly large amount of flavorful meat and plenty of cheese. I’ve never had fries with tacos, but the fries were a pretty good compliment. We will return to share a burrito!

So not only did i receive the wrong order (i ordered number 3 crispy fish taco) it took forever to get said taco. Furthermore, i didn’t receive a receipt to go exchange it.

I went one evening. It was amazing!!! I was going to get more, but the Lord said, just get two tacos. Usually, I need at least 3 or 4, at taco bell, to fill me up. But these tacos are wayyy larger and more filled than taco bell. The meat tasted more like beef, as well.
Their hot sauce is more flavorful. Overall, great service, food, etc.

I ordered two cheeseburgers. The restaurant was not busy, with only a few customers present, yet it took about 25 minutes to prepare the food. When the burgers arrived, the meat patties were burnt and black, and the buns were slightly stale. Additionally, a stranger who did not appear to be an employee came from the back area covered in dust and stood in the kitchen with the staff. He was not wearing gloves, and his clothing was very dirty and unsanitary. Whoever was in charge should have been more careful regarding cleanliness and food safety.

I did not know we had a del Taco in Huntsville. The location was cute, a little confusing on how to get to the center parking where the disability parking was, I had to walk with my cane across the drive-thru to the sidewalk, it was blocked from going directly into the parking lot by the drive-thru lane.
The woman who took my order, she was older I didn’t get her name, was very nice. The food was great, definitely better than the last del Taco I went to in Atlanta.
I wish the dining room was a little bit bigger, because 90% of the tables were in use. There were like three to five seats by the window, but who wants to eat by the window with the sun blasting in your face. So either get some window shades or tint window to where the sun isn’t directly on you. Also there are several medications for Americans with disabilities conditions, like the one I have, that you cannot be in direct sunlight. Mine causes a 40% increase of skin cancer from the sun and can give me a second or third degree burn when exposed for a prolonged period of time.
There was one table by the drink station that was free, it was kind of a high table but was the only one that I could sit at that wasn’t in direct sunlight. Was a little difficult to get up and down with my physical handicap. Also had to run off two people who were standing and leaning on the table waiting on there to go orders.

I’ve never eaten at a Del Taco before and my first experience at the new Huntsville location did not disappoint. My only complaint was the beer battered fish taco was smaller than expected but it was still tasty. The chicken quesadilla was a fair size for its price and definitely had better quality chicken in it than Taco Bell. My favorite item was the “Epic Loaded Grilled Chicken Burrito” which was quite large and everything on it tasted fresh and it was wrapped well so it didn’t fall apart even at the last bite. Would definitely eat here again and try out the rest of the menu.
