The food was excellent! The pork ribs were packed with flavor, and you could really taste the smokiness in every bite. The mac and cheese was delicious, and the pulled pork nachos were just as good. The restaurant itself is very nice, with both indoor and outdoor dining options, plus a great bar area. The service was outstanding as well. It’s great to finally have a quality BBQ spot here in Chula Vista!

Patty was our server, who was friendly and easy to talk to. She made the experience so much better and explained the menu well. The other two servers also kept checking on us, it was great. Overall, the food was great along with the portions for the price. All the meat was tender and well-seasoned, my personal favorite was the side of bbq baked beans and the loaded fries. The parking around here is great, with the whole parking structure in the back which is free. Lastly, the restaurant is super cute. The patio is beautiful, well-lit, and spacious. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

We tried Smoke & Glory (S&G) for the first time last night with another couple. They’ve only been open a little over a week, and we took a chance without reservations. Fortunately, our timing was perfect and an indoor U-shaped booth had just opened up.
When we went to order, we attempted to get the chicken wings, corn cocktail, beef ribs, and onion rings — but they were completely sold out of all four items after Valentine’s weekend and earlier service. Our server, Frank, was apologetic and did his best.
We pivoted and ordered the pork ribs, kielbasa sausage, Boston baked beans with pork belly, potato salad, mac & cheese, fries, and a bacon cheeseburger.
Loved: the pork ribs, kielbasa, baked beans, and potato salad — flavorful and well done.
Didn’t care for: the mac & cheese or the bacon cheeseburger. The mac & cheese, in particular, was underwhelming.
Frank provided great service despite the shortages. We understand they’re new and likely working through early demand, so we’ll give them another shot and hope to try the items that were sold out.

Came on my lunch break and was going to go to Farmers Table but tried Smoke & Glory. Had the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings. onions rings were very good. My server Kayla was excellent and very attentive. 🙂

I really wanted to like this place, but the value for money just isn’t there. We gave it 1 star solely for the excellent service provided by our waitress; otherwise, this would be a 0.
The pricing is a major issue. A billboard outside listed the 2-bone beef rib dinner at $55.95, but the menu inside jumped to $74.95. For that price, I expected something spectacular, but the meat was dry, salty, and the portion was nowhere near what it should have been for two bones. The Mac & Cheese was also a letdown—undercooked pasta with a spread-like consistency instead of actual cheese sauce.
The only highlights were the pork belly beans and the service. The waitress did honor the price listed outside, but even at the lower price, it was overpriced for the quality we received. Compared to places like Wood Ranch or Phil’s BBQ, Smoke and Glory doesn’t even come close. Save your money and drive the extra distance for a decent meal elsewhere.
