Updated Review – what a disappointment, after eating here quite a few times and loving it, this place has really gone downhill. We ordered two meals tonight, Tagliatelle, and Chicken Parmesan – both were so bland and disappointing – the sausage in the Tagliatelle was burned, and our waitress offered to prepare a new plate but advised it would be the same as this one, since it was already made. The Chicken Parm was bland, tasteless, overall disappointing (and I’ve had it here before). I would NOT go back to this restaurant. Also, the water in this restaurant has always had an off taste, but tonight it was undrinkable, and we complained – while we ordered beer to drink, that we hadn’t intended to order. The waitress advised that nearly everyone complains about the water here – and also said that the kitchen was undergoing changes, again, and there had been more complaints than in the past. It’s really too bad, as this place has a great location with a captive audience in the Grand, has nice views, and the folks in The Grand and Sun City West love to eat out, and fill nearby restaurants regularly. Disappointing, we won’t be returning until we hear someone else talking about their experiences that convince me it will be better than it was tonight (July 2025) Older Review… Really nice new addition to the area, food was really, really good – service was friendly, and prices were reasonable – and the views from the patio was great! A little noisy, acoustics aren’t great – but we’ll be back!

Just wanted to say thank you to our server Sabina A for the amazing service they gave us . I took my mom here for her 62 birthday we sat on the patio which was a absolutely a gorgeous view. The espresso martinis and the food were so delicious. All around wonderful experience. Every time I come to visit her from Orlando this will be our mom daughter spot.

Is it possible to have healthy food in Surprise? This meal which I’ve had multiple times was so heavy laden with butter and flour it was pooling on top eith the butter. It should be a very light lemon cream, not so incredibly heavy. Gross. Disappointing and certainly not healthy. So U continue my exploration for healthy food in Surprise. So far, it’s nonexistent.

I sat at the bar today. The bartender Cassandra (I hope I spelled her name right)was busy, but still able to Acknowledge me. This is the second time we’ve been here. She is so friendly and her drinks are crafted with pride.. I started off with the spinach artichoke dip… OMG! Have not been disappointed yet!!

Sat outside and watched the birds on the patio. One of the Servers was poor and the other was very good and friendly. Food was barely warm. Asked for my poached eggs to be harder than soft, medium to hard poached on my Benedict. Tea cup was dirty on the inside, bowl melons were in was dirty as well. Our server did not come back after food served to see if our food was as we wanted. Expected better in Sun City Grand.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to try for breakfast a couple of weeks ago, we decided on Maple and Rye on a Thursday morning. It was nice and quiet with a half dozen or so other people eating, the dining area was beautiful with a lovely view! Our server was Stacey and she was so friendly and answered any questions we had about the menu and was able to give some lovely recommendations. My husband had the Country fried steak and eggs while I had the salmon benedict. He loved his meal and my salmon benedict was wonderful..In the future I plan on coming back for breakfast again to try a Denver omelette. It looks like they also have a fantastic dinner menu as well so we are planning on coming back in for dinner some night soon.They also host a trivia night at Maple and Rye we would love to attend. If you have ever been curious about Maple and Rye please give it a chance, you wont be disappointed.
Also,I I have never played a round of golf in my life but the course looked great, and there were quite a few golfers out despite the cold. I just may have to give it a shot!

It was my first time here. Upon entering the restaurant I was impressed with the ambiance, the views are beautiful. Our server (Stacie) was very friendly and informative. The food came out quick, the portions were generous. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. My wife ordered the stuffed french toast with a side of eggs and sausage. Everything tasted great. I will definitely come back.
